Supply
• Dramatic renewables growth Customers will increasingly have
• Increasing intermittency to deal with very dynamic
• Greater volatility, less predictability environments
• More feed-in, take-off points (e.g. data centers
Grid of the
and EV-charging) The need for faster decisions and
future
• Increasing complexity, need for stability. On- real-time action requires visibility
and off-grid control of the entire business
• Automation on “local” level Energy storage is
key Digitalization is the answer for
the necessary agility and
decision-making velocity
Demand
• Continuing electrification of society
• Emerging market consumption growth
Control & information flow is key

• Fully integrated solution in the RMU, less space consuming. • Utilize the network more efficiently, minimize the network
• Fewer maintenance objects. losses.
• Less affected by the environment. • Optimal asset management.
• Fast and plugable installation. • Measurements of power flows/quality.
• No impact on compact secondary substation IP rating. • Improves overview of power network.
• Extends life cycle of the earlier investments.
Benefits of Compact Secondary Substation (CSS) automatization
Improves efficiency and safety of operating personnel
• Improved quality of the power supply:
• Less need to travel to places that are difficult to reach.
– Less and shorter outages.
• Less need to work in dangerous environments.
– Improvement of the operational efficiency.
