Brief Description of the Activity In line with the MATATAG: Bansang Makabata,
Batang Makabansa agenda of the Department of
Education (DepEd), San Pedro Integrated School
has committed to take part and participate in the
learning recovery program to address learning
losses arising from, among others, the COVID-
Pandemic.

The National Learning Camp (NLC) is a strategic

initiative supporting the National Learning
Recovery Plan (NLRP) and is completed by
programs to improve skills in reading,
mathematics, science, and technology, and
similar initiatives which aim to sustain learning
recovery.

The school’s NLC offers the following learning

focuses: for Junior High School Grades 7-8,
Consolidation Camp which is designed to
“provide further practice on and application of
previously taught competencies. Opportunities
will be provided in this camp to all grades 7 & 8
identified and registered learners to identify links
connecting concepts skills across grade-level
competencies. While Elementary offers
Intervention Camp which focuses on delivering
remedial classes to pupils who were identified for

further learning interventions particularly on

Reading and Numeracy. These pupils were
reported to have a low performance both in
literacy and numeracy during the school year
2022 – 2023.

The program shall be implemented from 24th of

July up to August 25, 2023 with accordance to
DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2023.

San Pedro IS volunteer teachers envision a great

decrease in reading and numeracy illiteracy rate
by S.Y. 2023-2024.
