REMEMBER:
At around 3rd century BC in Egypy, people use their body parts to determine the measurement
of things.
In 1800s, the English System of Measurement is widely used and later in 1900s, Metric System
of Measurement started to gain ground.
The International System of Units (SI) has seven (7) base units comprised of: meter, second,
mole, candela, ampere, kelvin and kilogram.
Accuracy of measurements depends on two factors: the skills of the person doing the
measurement and the precision of the measurement used in measuring.
In estimating measurement, a person should consider the appropriate unit of measure for the
object.
