 The United Nations, whose membership comprises almost all the states in the world, is
founded on the principle of the equal worth of every human being.
 The man Dickens, whom the world at large thought it knew, stood for all the Victorian
virtues even as his novels exposed the greed and cruelty of the Victorian age.
3. DEMONSTRATIVE PRONOUNS - include that, this, these and those. THIS is used for singular
while THESE is used for multiple items that are nearby. THAT is used for singular while THOSE is
used for multiple items that are far away.
Examples:
 Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.

A reflexive pronoun reflects back on the subject of the sentence while an intensive pronoun adds
emphasis or intensity to a noun when you remove a reflexive pronoun from a sentence, the sentence feels
incomplete. If you were to remove an intensive pronoun from a sentence, the meaning of the sentence would
not change.
Examples:
Reflexive: Drew decided to treat himself to a fancy dinner.
Intensive: Jonathan built the shed in the backyard all by himself.
Reflexive: The Robinsons were annoying neighbors; they kept inviting themselves over to our house!
Intensive: The Robinsons themselves showed up uninvited to our house last night.
