**SGA Thanksgiving Food Drive - ENDS TODAY, Nov. 16! Remember, the homeroom/
1st period class (one in elementary, middle school, & high school) that brings in the most items will receive a free Pizza Party. The food items will be donated to the Food Pantry, who will give the items to local needy families for Thanksgiving.

**Donuts for Dads -

Fri, Nov. 18! Dads of Kindergarten through 8th grade students are invited for coffee & donuts in the library from 7:30am-8:30am.

**Strides for Education 5K Walk/ Run:

Saturday, Nov. 19, on the FCS track from 11:00am-2:00pm. Students may register free, receive bonus with 2 sponsors. Adults & sponsors registration $35. For more info contact Franklin_TSIC@hotmail.com (there is an underscore between Franklin & TSIC) or see Tiffani Schmidt, Lyndsey Mahaffee, Javieon Winfield, or Cheyenne Martin. Proceeds go towards scholarships! Saturday, Nov. 19, at the FCS gym @ 6:00pm. Entry Fee & Admission- $1.00 BBQ Pork or Chicken Plate- $8.00 which will include admission to game.

**M/S & H/S Baseball Conditioning will begin Mon, Nov. 28th, after Thanksgiving Break.

**Take Stock In Children & Renovatio Youth Leadership Program is serving a

Thanksgiving Meal
for the less fortunate on Monday, Nov.21st from 3-6 p.m. @ St. Patricks Church Community Room on 6th Street and Avenue C in Apalachicola. They will cook in the morning and serve meals from 3-6pm. To make it a success, they need your help. Food Donations (and cooks) would be most welcome. The menu will include Turkey, Ham, Mac-n-Cheese, Candied Yams, Veggies, Dinner Rolls, Sweet Tea, and of course, desserts. Ms. Lyndsey Mahaffee, Ms. Tiffani Schmidt, Ms. Cheyenne Martin, & Ms. Yvonne Mitchell are the organizers. GED CLASSES
GED Classes are now available through the TIGERS program at the Carrabelle & Apalachicola libraries. The next GED Test will be given Feb. 27 & 28, 2012 at the Franklin County School library at 6:00pm. To register for the test contact Maxine Creamer @ 670-4481. The Franklin County Adult Education Courses do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, National origin, age, handicap, or marital status.

**The Federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act states that children & youth who lack a
fixed, regular, & adequate nighttime residence are considered homeless. If, due to a loss of housing, a child must live in a shelter, motel, vehicle, campground, on the street, in abandoned buildings, or doubled-up with relatives or friends, then he/she is eligible to receive services provided under the McKinney-Vento Act.
