Assignment Output: Briefly answer the following. Ensure you have read the module and
browsed the rubric for your guidance.

Who is your student? Describe and give his/her characteristics.

My student will be a Technology Literate, Collaborative, and a Critical Thinker.

How would you view the role of technology in learning and teaching
processes?

Technology plays an important part in the learning and teaching processes since
it provides many benefits to students that may help them improve and gain more
information. It is beneficial to have technology in learning and teaching so that students
don't get bored when participating in discussions, since technology allows them to
explore more.

Give your primary example of when Technology serves as a boon and bane
in learning.

Boon: Technology is a blessing because nowadays students may readily access the
information, they want by simply entering the appropriate keywords into the search box
and then clicking on it. It also includes a variety of resources that students may use to
learn more.

Bane: Technology has become a bane to learning since there are certain false
information being circulated on the internet that students may read and trust, therefore
becoming an enabler of that fake news. Another issue is that there are certain websites
that do not give accurate information and others where you may alter an article, hence
technology in education may also be detrimental.

Differentiate the following: Educational technology, Instructional


Technology Integration, and Educational media.

Educational technology is made up of machines, materials, people, media, and


methods. These five systems collaborate to accomplish a set of objectives for the
learners to learn. Instructional Technology Integration is concerned with how the
instructional materials used by the instructor should be integrated so that the students
learn the best. Educational media is the use of media in teaching that relates to the topic
that is being addressed, some of the educational media can be found on YouTube, which
is beneficial for students who are audio-visual and may also help them focus during
class discussions.
Why will you use technology in your classroom?

I am considering using technology in my classroom because I know my students


will be more engaged and more interested in the discussion if there is a technology. I
feel that through utilizing these tools, the students will be able to learn about topics they
do not yet know.

Why will you NOT use technology in the classroom?

I believe the only time I will not use technology is when the student has to
collaborate with his or her peers. Because I feel that technology only works for those
students who are more interested in it, while others prefer to study through
conventional methods.

Will you advocate using technology in your school?

Yes. Because, as we all know, technology really benefits us, whether we are
students or teachers. Technology makes our job easier and faster, and it also allows us to
save time on some tasks.
