Sport in my country
I live in Argentina and, of course, football is a very popular sport here! At
school, we do sports for two hours a week. Girls usually play volleyball and
boys play football. Now a lot of girls like playing football, too. In some
schools, you can also play basketball and baseball. It’s also quite common
for young people to play hockey, tennis and rugby in local clubs in their free
time. My best friend’s brother plays rugby for Argentina in the Pumas team.
My favourite sport is hockey. I often play on Saturday morning. I also go to
my sister’s judo class every week. She’s a judo teacher. We like watching
football on TV. And we love Messi, the footballer, because he’s amazing and
he’s from Argentina! Do you have any famous sports stars in your country?
