SCOPE OF WORK
A. Under this work, the Contractor shall design, furnish, and install a stainless-steel water
feature achieving the look and function of the water feature shown on the plans at the
location shown on the plans. The center piece of the water feature is a double sided 8-foot-
tall x 20-foot-wide curved 316 stainless-steel wall with a mirrored finish. Water shall be
pumped to the top of stainless-steel wall where it collects in a reservoir before overflowing
with as little turbulence as possible, creating a smooth wall of water. There shall be no voids
of flowing water over the surface of the stainless-steel walls. The top of the stainless-steel
wall shall be concealed by a bluestone cap, curved at the same radius as the stainless-steel
wall. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals
necessary to complete the work. The work includes, but is not limited to the following:
1. Water Feature supports and containment, including seating walls and columns.
Installation of stone veneer and bluestone caps for seating walls and columns will be
completed by others.
2. Water Feature Seepage Control Lining - Membrane System
3. Electrical Power to Equipment Vault
4. Water Supply to Equipment Vault
5. Recirculation Pumping Systems
6. Equipment Vaults at the location shown on the plans or as ordered by the Engineer.
7. Water Supply Level Sensors, electrically actuated fill line valve, electrically actuated
water level control valves
8. Mechanical and Hydraulic systems
9. Motor Control Center Electrical Panels including electrical connections to the
equipment
10. Water Quality Treatment, including all water chemistry analyzers, controllers and
chemical delivery system
11. 316 Mirrored stainless-steel structure with necessary supports
12. Bluestone cap over stainless-steel structure
13. Miscellaneous items required for a complete operational Water Feature system.
14. Water Feature fill up
15. Back Flow Preventor
16. Maintenance of the Water Feature Systems during Operational Testing Phase
17. Operational Testing and Commissioning of the Water Feature System

to the Engineer for review by the Main Office Design Bureau at least 10 days before
construction is supposed to begin. Permission to proceed must be received in writing, prior to
beginning construction. The plans and scope of work shall govern the size, location and all
visual aspects of the water feature design. The water feature designer shall have a minimum
qualification of having successfully designed five previously installed water feature projects,
of equal or greater scope than this project. The water feature designer shall submit a reference
list of owners with a brief description of designed feature before starting the design work.
Submitted design shall be in strict accordance with existing codes and regulations.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
A. The Plans, specifications and approved design shall govern the work. The Plans and
approved design are intended to be complementary to describe and provide for a complete
project.
