with it and, above all, that the effect of your work will be exactly as you imagined.
This is one of my favorites – I love how he turned out, I couldn’t be happier with the end result and
my 3 y o Rapunzel was screaming with joy and jumping up and down and dancing when she saw it

Materials
List of all the materials you will need for this project:
• yarn ( I use 55% cotton yarn which measures 174 yards (159 meters) for 50 g, weight Sport /
5 ply (12 wpi), Gauge 24 to 30 st is 4 inches (10 cm)
You can use any colors you like, but here is the list of colors I used:
o green – base color

o white - eyes
o black – pupils
o brown – irises
o pink – tongue
o light purple – inside mouth

• 3,25 mm (D) hook,

• cotton wool or other stuffing
• needle, thread, pins, scissors, etc.

We have all the parts we need now.
Let’s sew them together.
Stuff the upper and lower head.
Sew the upper head to lower one…
(see the photo for reference)
… Front view.
Now place and sew the inside mouth.

Sew the tongue. (do not stuff the tongue)
Now sew the sides of the mouth a bit more…

Tie and sew the iris ends together to make a circle.
Place the iris around each pupil and sew it.

Sew pupils with irises to each eye – note the pupils are
very close to the edge of the eye.
With white yarn make a large dot of reflection in the

upper part of the pupil.
Stuff each eye lightly.
Place and sew eye to the head….
… front view.

Place and sew eye on the other side.
Now squeeze the space between the eyes and sew it

like this with green yarn (the one you used for the
head) ..
… eyes in place.
Fold each eyelid in half.
Sew the eyelid behind each eye.

Head is finished.
Stuff the body firmly.
Stuff each leg.
We will now sew two toes to each leg – do not stuff

the toes there is no need.

Sew the toes.
Do it with every leg.
Place and sew the back legs to the body…

Place and sew the front legs – note they are placed a
bit wider than the back ones…

Stuff the tail.
Sew the tail to the back of the body…

Wrap the end of the tail…
… and sew it in place,
Place the head, before sewing stuff the body some

more if needed.

Sew head to the body.
Place and sew the head spine on the top of the head…
… front view.
Place and sew the back spine to the body….

… top view of the finished spine.
Congratulations! Your chameleon is ready.
