grammar, reading, listening and writing. It also provides students with grammar reference, practice
and exam practice, which can be found at the back of the book.

Speaking: Speaking activities in Harmonize provide students with many opportunities to practise
accuracy and fluency and to develop their competence in linguistic communication. Therefore, encourage
your students to interact with their partners as naturally as possible.

Listening: Listening is an important part of language development and can help improve oral production.
Harmonize gives students opportunities to practise listening in a realistic way, so make the most of it by
using the class audio at all times.

READER: We advise you to consult www.cambridge.org/elt/readers to download the corresponding

worksheets for further practice. We suggest you use the audio to help students to further develop their
listening skills.

Please help your students develop their reading skills by encouraging them to read the story and
exploit it through different activities. By no means should you give them just a summary to study
by heart.

Students are expected to read the story at home, not in class.

English File Intermediate Teacher’s Book, which includes Grammar, Vocabulary and Communication
Activities that you may select to use with your group according to their needs/skills and the TIME

For further grammar practice you may consult: ‘Essential Grammar in Use’ (Intermediate) by R.
Murphy, and ‘Oxford English Grammar intermediate e-book´, by M. Swan and C. Walter.
