1.0 Definition/Purpose
The Midrange Application Server System (MASS) consists of a database, a web front-end and several peripheral tools. The database is designed to be the source of record for the relationship between applications and serves and serves as a convenient repository of detailed information about applications, servers, contacts, software, etc., drawn from their appropriate sources of record. Access to this data is primarily through the web front-end. Read access is granted to everyone with an S3 account. Role-based update access is granted to those with a need to maintain those fields which are not derived from other sources.
2.0 Responsibility
Role EDS Midrange/WDC PMs EDS and Xerox End Users MASS Support Team Responsibility Maintain current and accurate information on applications, servers, contacts, software etc. Retrieve information on applications, servers, contacts, software etc. Process MASS ID requests, information updates and manage automated information feeds and reporting
