01. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

mechanism,
The Belt Bowsing System (BBS) is new, safe, has a low weight and for handling a simple
different from the old fashioned with manila rope'
Two types of úis BBS are available, one for a maximum force of 401ò{ and another for l1OkN.

The system is made from stainless steel and does not require maintenance. The belts are produced
from
UV resistant polyester suitable for see condition.

The BBS is suitable for all davit types like

. Daüt ofNormal Decktype (D-ND)

. Daüt ofRoller Tracktype @-RT)
. Daüt ofNormal Pivot type (D-Ì'{P)
. Davit ofWall Pivot type (D-V[P)
. Davit of Telescope Track type @-TT)
' Daút ofFolding Pivot type (D-FP) with embarkation in outboard position.

Due to the execution of the brake the maximal speed is constant and does not depend on the applied
load. The speed has to be controlled simply by means of a handle'
With our nìh nowsing System the craft is brought to embarkation position automatically.

02. HANDLING

02.1. TURNING OUT

After hoisting of the brake lever on the winch, the boat and the daüt arm will come to outer position.

Length 'ï' of polyester band on the bowsing system must be adjusted so that the boat comes
automatically to "ernbarkation position" like shown on picture 1.

Itis necessary to adjust the length "L" of the polyester band in stowed position of boat without
load on the bowsing block. After adjusting the removable handle or ratchet has to be stowed. It is
helpful to mark the band at the length "L" for example with a colour.

Lower the brake lever on winch to stop at embarkation position.

02.3. TURN TO LOWER POSITION

When all passengers embarked, the boat two skilled persons simultaneously activate the device by
rotating the bowsing brake lever and bring the boat aside of the vessel. Due to the friction
between polyester band and rollers, the boat will come into proper position for lowering (picture
3
*Ll-). Witn tn. brake lever it is possible to regulate the speed in every position to avoid any
inertial force or pendulum effect inside the baat and also to avoid the dynamic efiFect on the davit
system and ship structure.
