DECK/NAVIGATION DEPARTMENT
The Deck Department in the Merchant Navy is responsible for navigation, maneuvering, and overall ship
operation. It includes officers like the Captain, Chief Officer, and Second/Third Officers, as well as
ratings like Boatswains, Able Seamen, and Deck Cadets. They handle tasks such as navigation,
watchkeeping, maintenance, and cargo operations to ensure the ship's safety and efficiency.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Admission for a course is subject to the availability of seats.
2. Once the course fee is paid, no refunds or adjustments will be made.
3. The candidate has to pay the fee as per the fee schedule. In case of failure, the candidate will not be allowed in
the training or a late fee will be charged.
4. Candidates can pay the fee by CASH/ NEFT/ RTGS/ UPI in favor of RUDRAKSH PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
TRUST.
5. Candidates should ask for a valid receipt for every payment.
6. A duplicate receipt will not be issued in any case. The transaction, without a receipt or to an unauthorized
person/account will not be entertained.
7. Family members/friends accompanying the candidates will not be allowed to stay in the campus area in any
situation.
8. As it is residential training candidates must stay on campus throughout the training. However, an outing is
allowed on Sunday.
9. During the training, no leaves are allowed. In case of an emergency, permission may be given by extending the
training for the leave period.
10. If the candidate does not attend class, discontinues training due to illness or any other personal problem or
any other reason and is not willing to continue/shift his training within 6 months from the admission date, then
his candidature will be canceled as per the institute policy.
11. Rescheduling of the course will depend upon the availability of seats and this option is valid for six months
from the date of admission. Rescheduling/Shifting charges will be applicable as per the institute’s policy.
12. Mobile phones will be allowed only on Saturday & Sunday however parents may contact the official hostel
number.
13. Possession/consumption of alcohol drugs, tobacco or any other intoxication material is strictly prohibited.
Defaulters may face suspension, fine or removal from the institution.
14. Candidates need to be well groomed and clean-shaved (except the Sikh cadets)
15. Candidates must follow daily routine timings for hostel & training activities.
16. Candidates will be responsible for the safety of their belongings and valuable items.
17. Candidates must keep their living area neat and clean.
18. The cost of loss/damage to furniture, fittings, and equipment will be recovered from the candidate.
19. Candidates are strictly prohibited from using abusive language, misconduct in disciplined behavior and
physical assault.
20. If a candidate indulges in any dispute in lawful or unwanted activity outside the campus then the institute
will not be responsible.
21. Guardians are expected to take feedback from their ward.
22. After completion of training, On-Board Training/Placement process will be started after receiving all
necessary documents/certificates.
23. The candidate has to bear the charges that occur for Onboard Training/Placement in India or abroad.
24. Candidates will get a placement based on their eligibility, capability and training track record.
25. Placement will be given by Rudraksh Placement Cell on its manned vessels in Indian Coastal or foreign-
going vessels.
26. Candidates should be in touch with Rudraksh Placement Cell for lifetime placement support.
27. Institute holds the right to take any action against candidates for violation of Rules and Regulations.
28. Institute reserves the right to cancel any admission without assigning a reason.
29. Institute holds the right to change, abolish or amend any rule/policy at any time.
