1.

0 ECE

1.01 GENERAL

The general condition and provision of the Civil Works contract not in conflict with
these Specifications and the drawings form part of and/or included in these sections.

1.02 VISIT TO SITE

The Contractor is advised to visit the site and satisfy himself as to local conditions and
facilities, the nature of the soil and as certain such conditions as may affect his work.
He will be deemed to have done this before preparing his proposal and no subsequent
claim on the ground on inadequate or inaccurate will be entertained.

1.03 EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL

A. The Electrical Contractor shall be responsible for excavation, backfill, tamping,


shoring, bracing, pumping, streetcuts, repairing of finished surface and all pro-
tection for safety of persons and property as required for installing a complete
Electrical System.

B. Excavation shall be made in a manner to provide a uniform bearing for conduit.


Where rock is encountered, excavate 80mm below conduit grade and fill with
gravel to grade.

C. After required test and inspection, backfill the ditch and tamp. The first foot above
the conduit shall be hand-filled with rocks free from clean earth. The backfill in the
ditches on the exterior and interior of the building shall be tamped to ninety(90%)
percent. The Electrical Contractor shall be responsible for any ditches that go
down.

1.04 CUTTING AND PATCHING

A. The Electrical Contractor shall furnish sketches to the General Contractor


showing the location and sizes of all opening and chases, furnish and location all
sleeves and inserts required for the installation of electrical works before the walls,
floors and roofs are built. The Electrical Contractor shall be responsible for the cost
of cutting and patching where incorrectly sized or located. The Contractor shall do
all drilling required for the installation of his hangers

B. No structural member shall be cut without the approval of the Architect and all such
cutting shall be done in a manner directly by him. All patching shall be performed in
a neat and workman-like manner accepted to the Architect .

1.05 SUBCONTRACTOR

Unless otherwise recommended on this Specifications the Contractor shall not sub-
contract the whole or any part of the work without the written consent of the Owner.
The Contractor shall be responsible for any work carried out by any subcontractor
as if he himself were undertaking the work.

1.06 STANDARD OF WORKMANSHIP

The Contractor shall execute all works in a neat and workman-like manner and
shall do all necessary work whether it is clearly specified in these Specifications or

shown on the drawings or not. All works shall be done in accordance with the best
practices employed in modern electrical installations.

The Contractor shall employ only competent and efficient workmen and , upon
written request of the Architect, discharge or otherwise remove from work any
employee who is, in the opinion of the Architect, careless or incompetent, or who
obstruct the progress of the work or acts contrary to the instruction or conducts
himself improperly.

1.07 STANDARD OF MATERIALS

A. All materials shall be new and shall conform to the Technical Specifications. All
materials shall be standard products of reputable manufacturers and shall bear the
name of the manufacturer and UL listed.
B. All materials shall be subject to the approval of the Architect and Consultant. This
approval shall not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility of inspecting such
materials for defects of nonconformance with the Specifications.
C. Where the Technical Specifications or the Drawings give the name of the
manufacturer and/or catalog number of materials, it is given as a guide to the size,
strength, quality or class of the materials desired and shall be interpreted to mean
that item or another fully equal for the service intended. Substitution shall be
subject to prior written approval of the Architect and Consultant.
D. The apparent silence of the Specification and Drawing as to any detail, or apparent
omission from them of a detail decision concerning any material shall be regarded
to mean that only material of first class quality shall be used.

1.08 REMOVAL OF DEFECTIVE OR UNAUTHORIZED WORK

A. Any defective work, whether the result of poor workmanship, defective materials,
damage through careless or any other cause, found to exist prior to acceptance of,
or final payment for the work shall be removed immediately and replaced by work
and material which shall conform to these Specifications, or shall be otherwise
remedied in an acceptable manner. This clause shall have full effect regardless of
the fact that the work may be done within the full knowledge of the Architect and
Consultant.
B. All materials not conforming to the requirements of the Technical Specification
shall be considered as defective.
C. No defective materials, the defect of which has been subsequently corrected shall
be used unless approval has been given by the Architect and Consultant.

1.09 CONFORMITY WITH PLANS AND ALLOWABLE DEVIATION

These Specifications and Drawings indicate the general layout of the system and the
Contractor shall be responsible for the installation of the system without substantial
alteration of modifications. Wherever field conditions or exigencies of construction
make departure from these specifications and Drawings necessary, Detail of such
departure and reason thereof shall be submitted without delay to the Architect and
Consultant and no departure shall be made without written approval of the Architect
and Consultant.

1.10 COORDINATION WITH OTHER CONTRACTORS

The Contractor shall examine and shall familiarize with the Specifications and
Drawings of the Civil, Mechanical, Fire Protection, Sanitary works and other trades.
He shall arrange his works and dispose his materials so as not to interfere with the

work or storage materials of the other contractor. Should the Contractor cause
damage to any other contractor on the work, the Contractor shall upon due notice
settle with such contractor by agreement or arbitration. The Contractor shall be liable
for any claim by the other contractor against the Owner on account of such damage.

1.11 INSPECTIONS AND TEST

The Architect and Consultant or his representative shall be allowed access to all parts
of the Works at all times and shall be furnished such information and assistance by
the Contractor as may be required to make a complete detailed inspection. Materials
and installation shall be subject to such tests as are deemed necessary by the
Architect and Consultant to properly ascertain their fitness both during installation and
after installation is completed. The cost of ch test shall be burdened by the
Contractor.

1.12 INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

The Contractor shall be responsible for all injury to person and damage to property
caused by the Work or by workmen and shall be liable for any claim against the
Owner on account of such injury and/or damage. The Contractor shall likewise take
necessary precautions to protect the property of the Owner against rain or other
inclemency of the weather and against theft, where exposure to such inclement
weather of theft is due to the performance of his work. The Contractor shall be
responsible for any such damage or loss.

1.13 TEMPORARY FACILITIES

The Contractor shall make all necessary arrangement and pay for the Provisions of
the necessary electrical supply required for the Works and shall clear away all
temporary installation before it upon completion of the Work.

1.14 LEAVING THE SITE


The Contractor shall not withdraw from the site until the whole Electrical System is
completed and in operating condition and ready for use by the Owner.

1.15 SUSPENSION OR DELAY

The Contractor shall not suspend or fail to make proper progress with the Work
without justifiable cause. The Owner, in the event of delay or suspension of work still
persisting after written complaint, shall have the right to take over the work and all
materials on the site and make arrangement as are necessary to have the Work
completed by others.

1.16 CLEANING UP

During the process of the Work on the completion of the Project, the Contractor shall
remove from the premises all dirt, rubbish and waste materials caused by him in the
performance of his work. He shall remove all tools, scaffoldings and surplus materials
after completion and acceptance of the Work.

1.17 WARRANTY

The Contractor shall leave the entire Electrical Works in proper working order and
shall without charge, replace any work or materials furnished and installed by him

under this Specifications which develops defects, except from ordinary wear and tear
within one (1) year from the date of final acceptance of the property by the Owner,
Architect and Consultant.

1.18 PERMIT AND DUES

A. The Contractor shall, at his own expense, secure all permits, including Certificate
of Electrical Inspection to all government agencies. Owner will pay only for all fees
with OFFICIAL RECEIPT only.
B. The Contractor shall include in his work, without extra cost to the Owner or
Architect and Consultant, drawings ( in addition to Contract, Drawing and
Documents ) and associated paper works as required by the Local Power
Company or any approving Authorities.

1.19 AS-BUILT DRAWINGS

A. The Electrical Contractor shall maintain accurate records of all deviations in


work as actually installed from work indicated on the Drawings. On completion of
the project, two (2) complete sets of CAD blue prints with sign and seal of
Professional Electrical Engineer and one (1) diskette with complete CAD electrical
system drawings shall be submitted to the Owner and Architect.
B. As-built plans shall consist of all the lighting, power and auxiliary layout, Power and
auxiliary riser diagram, load schedule, detailed drawings of the arrangement on
panel boards, cabinets, meter center, and other related equipments including
actual route of all conduit runs

1.20 SHOP DRAWINGS


A. The Electrical Contractor shall submit five (5) copies of the shopdrawings to
the Architect/Consultant for approval within ten (10) days after the award of the
General Contract.
B. Shop Drawings for all major electrical equipments, including service entrance
equipment, lighting fixture, panel boards, switches, wiring devices,and equipment
for Auxiliary system shall be submitted for approval. All equipments shall be a
standard product of an established manufacturer whether the manufacturer’s name
is specified or not. The Shop Drawings shall contain complete description of such
proposed equipment. All items on the Shop Drawings shall be properly labeled,
indicating the intended service/use of the equipment, the job name and the
electrical Contractor’s name.
C. The Shop drawings shall be bound neatly in five (5) sets and submitted to the
Architect/Consultant with a letter of transmittal. The letter of transmittal shall
contain a list of items indicated above to be submitted along with the
manufacturer’s name.
D. The Contractor shall also be able to submit actual samples when request by the
Owner or Architect/Consultant.
E. All materials and equipments installed without prior approval of the Architect or
Consultant shall be at risk of subsequent rejection.

1.21 INSPECTION AND CERTIFICATES

Upon completion of the entire installation, the approval of the Owner, Architect and
Consultant shall secured, covering the installation throughout. The Contractor shall,
at his own expense, secure the certificate of inspection and approval from the Public
Authorities having jurisdiction. A final inspection certificate shall be submitted to the
Architect/Consultant prior to final payment.

1.22 EQUIVALENTS

When materials and equipments are mentioned by name, they shall form the basis of
the Contract, if not the Contractor may recommend, provided that they are equivalent.
When approved by the Architect/Consultant in writing, other materials and equipment
may be used in place of those specified but written application for such substitution
shall be made to the Architect/Consultant as described in the Bid Documents. The
difference in cost of substitute materials or equipment and reason for substitutions
shall be given when making such request. Approval of substitute is contingent on
same, meeting specified requirements and being of such design and dimension as to
comply with space requirements.

1.23 DETAILED BREAKDOWN OF ESTIMATE

The Electrical Contractor shall submit detailed breakdown of estimate on each listed
electrical system herein along with the provided bid proposal. Detailed breakdown
shall consist of the quantity, brand name, and costing per item of a system.

1. 24 SCOPE OF WORKS OF THE CONTRACTOR

The work of the Contractor consist of supervision, labors, equipment, materials, and
perform all operations in connection with the Electrical System shown on the Plans,
their tests and their inspections complete and in accordance with these Specifications
and Plans and subject to terms and conditions of the Contract. Any equipment,
materials, or work not shown on the Plans but mentioned in the Specifications, or
vice-versa, shall be furnished and installed by the Contractor.

The following are the scope of work of the contractor:

A. To secure and pay for the ECE permits, certificates and other related permits.
B. To secure and pay for the insurances required for the project.
C. Furnishing and installation of sub-feeders raceway.
D. Furnishing and installation of telephone system. (This include terminal cabinets,
house cables, terminal blocks, station wirings, conduits, wires, outlets and boxes).
E. Furnishing and installation of boxes, pullboxes, hangers and conduit supports for
feeder, sub-feeder, power and lighting branch circuit.
F. Furnishing and installation of voice-data system (this include intermediate
distribution frame (IDF), station wirings, conduits, wires, outlets and boxes).

1.25 WORKS NOT INCLUDED

A. Furnishing and installation of telephone handset unite (by local telephone


company.)
B. All electrical works beyond the circuit breaker or splice box for the power supply of
all air-conditioning system equipments.
C. All elctrical works beyond the circuit breaker or panel board for power supply of all
water pumps, sanitary pumps and motors.

1.26 SERVICE ENTRANCE

A. Telephone service entrance to the building shall be by local telephone company.

1.27 WIRING METHODS

A. All works shall be done in the following manner as indicated in plans:

1. RSC - for secondary feeders and sub-feeders (2 ½” dia. and above) and
others specified.
2. EMT – for fire alarm system, feeders and sub-feeders (1/2” dia upto 2 “
dia.) and others specified.
3. EMT – for all exposed power and lighting branch circuit raceways
running inside ceiling or wooden partitions.
4. FMC – (flexible metal conduits) for connection between lighting fixtures
and junction box, with proper fittings.

1.28 GROUNDING SYSTEM

The following shall be grounded in accordance with the Drawings and requirements of
the Philippine Electrical Codes and with Standard grounding practices:

A. All metallic conduits and raceway including boxes.

B. In the absence of metallic water pipe, additional ground rod shall be provided when
required.

Provide ground wire for all auxiliary system. Sizes as required in the Plans and
Drawings.

Provide grounding bond on all metallic conduit connections, joints and coupling for
effective grounding continuity.

Ground wire shal be color green for the entire installations, sizes as required in the
plans ansd drawings.

1.29 DISTRIBUTION FEEDERS

Feeder conductors and raceways shall be installed as shown on the Plans and no
changes in size shall be made without written consent of the Architect and Consultant.
Unless otherwise indicated, feeder shall be continuous without splices between
terminals as possible.

1.30 TELEPHONE CABINET

Cabinets shall be locally manufactured. Free standing, shall be fabricated from 1.9
mm thk. black iron sheet with epoxy primer and baked enamel paint finish. Doors shall
be hinged with allen screw lock from top to bottom. Dead front cover can only be
removed after the front cover has been detached.

Telephone terminal cabinets shall be fabricated from 1.5 mm thich G.I. sheets with
epoxy primer and baked enamel paint finish. Front cover shall have a stainless push
to open lock type with master key. Dead front cover can only be removed after the
front cover has been detached.

1.31 WIRE GUTTERS, PULLBOX AND BUS GUTTERS

Common pull box and wire gutters for auxiliary system shall be fabricated from
minimum of 1.9 mm thk. black iron sheet epoxy primer and baked enamel finish.
Cover shall have twist lock on covers and center edge.

1.32 OUTLET, SWITCH AND SPLICE BOXES

Auxiliary outlet boxes shall be fabricated from 1.5 mm thk standard pressed
galvanized steel or cast metal sheet with red lead primer before installation. All outlet
boxes shall have ground terminal for bonding of ground wires.

1.33 RACEWAY SYSTEM

Conduits and tubings shall be specified in EW 1.04 : SPECIFICATIONS OF


MATERIALS, item II. No more than four (4) ninety (90) degree bends shall occur in
any run. When it becomes necessary to have more than four (4) ninety (90) degrees
bends in any run, an intermediate pull box shall be installed to facilitate pulling in of
wires.

Method of installation are stated in EW 1.03 : TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.

Exposed conduit shall be run in parallel or perpendicular with the lines of the building.
Exposed conduits shall be secured fastened in place by means of approved supports
and fastenings. Conduits support shall be fastened to wall by means of screw or bolts
with expansion sleeves or directly welded on steel beams. The use of wooden or lead
plugs is not permitted. All ends shall be firmly attached to cabinets or boxes by means
of locknut and bushing.
Metal conduit brushing shall be of a grounding type. Field bends shall not be allowed
for rigid steel conduit larger than 20mm dia. threadless coupling and connectors used
with tubing shall be concrete-tight type. Field bends in tubing shall have a radius of
curvature not less than those specified in the Philippine Electrical Codes. No tubing
smaller than 15mm dia. shall be used.

For more than one exposed conduit a unistrut type channel shall be used with an
angular steel hanger attached on concrete slab by means of expansion bolt. Hangers
shall be two (2) at every length of conduit. Conduits shall be attached on the unistrut
channel by means of u-clamp bolted on both ends.

Exposed conduits shall be treated with red lead primer and painted with color paint
(color will be as per Owner standard). All field cut threads shall be painted with
galvanized paint.

1.34 SPECIFICATIONS OF MATERIALS

A. Materials to be used shall conforme to the standard and specifications set by the
following where such standard and specifications have been established for
particular type of materials or equipment in question

1. US Underwriter’s Laboratories
2. US National Board of fire Underwriter’s
3. National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association
4. Insulated Power Cable
5. American Standard Association
6. British international Standard
7. Bureau of Standard, Department of Trade
8. Philippine National Standard

B. CONDUITS

1. RIGID STEEL CONDUIT (RSC) : Similar to Nichi RSC manufactured by Alfra


Steel Industrial Incorporated.

2. NON-METALLIC CONDUIT (PVC) : CS40 smooth wall rigid non-metallic
conduit conforming to Philippine National Standard No. 14 for PVC pipes.
Conduits shall be in standard length 3.05 meter with bell end on one side.
3. FLEXIBLE METAL CONDUIT : Shall be used for the connection between
lighting fixtures and junction box. Use PVC sheeted(liquid tight) flexible conduit
for motor connections.
4. ELECTRICAL METALLIC TUBING (EMT) :
Shall be made of mild steel pipe, lead tin coated and hot dip galvanized finish
with smooth circular bore standard weight pipe. Standard length of 3.00 meter.
To be used on all exposed power and lighting system raceway.

C. TELEPHONE SYSTEM

1. SCOPE OF WORK:

a. The telephone system shall consist of an interior system of conduits,


outlet boxes, junction boxes, main distribution frame (MDF), telephone
terminals, telephone riser and distribution cables, telephone outlets and
face plates as shown on the plans.
b. The PABX equipment, battery charger, telephone instruments, and
operator consoles are supplied and installed by others.

2. PRODUCT:

a. Conduits shall be intermediate metallic conduit (IMC) with a minimum


diameter of 20 mm as indicated under Section 16402 "Interior Wiring
Systems".

3. MAIN DISTRIBUTION FRAME (MDF):

a. The MDF shall be composed of 100 pairs ATTIDC punch blocks or


equal. All components, connections of MDF shall conform to EIA/TIA
standards.
b. Cable terminals shall be of the type acceptable to the Telephone
Company. Should any type other than those shown on PLDT standard,
including those manufactured locally be contemplated for use, it should be
approved by the Telephone Company before installation.

4. TELEPHONE TERMINALS:

The telephone terminals shall be wall mounted, terminal blocks shall be


mounted or 20 mm thick treated wood backboard. Terminal blocks shall be
based on cross connection system. Terminal blocks shall have similar design
with MDF.

5. HORIZONTAL CABLE:

All horizontal cabling shall be UTP 24 AWG thermoplastic insulated conductors


formed into four individually twisted pairs enclosed by a thermoplastic jacket.
The cable shall meet all requirements of ANSI/CDE Pub. 5-809-576 and
EIA/TIA 568 standard applicable to four pair inside wiring (DIW) cable for
general wiring within a building.

6. BACKBONE CABLE:

a. The backbone wiring system shall be multipair cables. The cable consist of
thermoplastic, insulated conductors formed into binders groups of 25 pairs
each, each group distinctly identified by different colored binder. These are
assembled into a compact core and covered by a protective thermoplastic
sheath. Each of the 25 pairs in a binder group is to be identified by a color
code following the ICEA S-8-576 color guide.
b. The backbone cable shall be applicable for the installation without using
conduits.

7. TELEPHONE OUTLETS:

a. All modular jacks shall be data grade, meeting the following specifications:
- Contact plating of at least 50 mil gold over 100 mil nickel.
- Modular jack contacts to be retained by a comb.
-Insertion/removal cycle rating not less than 200 insertion/removals.
- Modular jack shall be voice grade (category 3)
b. All modular jack shall be UTP. Eight - Pin and shall conform to EIA/TIA -
568.

8. EXECUTION :

a. INSTALLATION WORKS:

1) The conduit installation works shall be carried out by this Contractor.


Conduit installation shall be as indicated under Section 16402 "Interior
Wiring Systems".
2) Any tools or equipment required for the installation shall be provided
free of charged by the contractor and shall remain his property.
3) Electrical Contractor must coordinate with the PABX Contractor to
ensure final requirement of telephone system.

D. MALL STRUCTURED CABLING

GENERAL CABLING REQUIREMENTS

1. 3 ports per tenant space (Category 5)


a. 1 voice
b. 1 10/100 Ethernet data port
c. 1 spare (voice)
2. All ports to be terminated on tenant ceiling near the back with faceplate and
auto-shutters to prevent dust and corrosion.
3. All outlets should be in EMT box with cover and holes for wires to pass.
4. All conduits and wire trays should be EMT.
5. All conduits and wire trays should be painted yellow with black stripes.
6. All conduits and wire trays should be rodent proof.
7. All ports to terminate in IDFs or Main Admin MDF.
8. All IDFs and MDFs should be closed cabinet, glass door with secure locks.
9. IDF should not exceed 4 feet in height.
10. UPS and power outlets to be provided with each IDF/MDF cabinets.
11. Data lines not to exceed 90 meters.
12. Data links should be at least 10/100 Mbps Cat 5e Twisted Pair Ethernet
standard.
13. Fiber link between MDF and IDF should be Multi-mode fiber 1 Gbit Ethernet
standard.
14. Voice to terminate in 110 blocks in IDFs and from IDF to building MDF.

15. All termination in IDF and MDF should be cut to length with cable
management to provide clean and neat set up. Owner reserves the right to
refuse poor workmanship.
16. Voice patch cables (pigtails) and Data patch cables to be provided (20
meters in length).
17. Weekly status reports should be submitted to SM Prime Holdings, Inc.
18. All documentations and as-built plans with exact cable lengths should be
provided upon completion of work.
19. Test results and documentation should be submitted upon completion of
work.
20. Admin Office to include 50 tel/data ports (SCMC Admin Office, Security
Office, Visual Display Office, Warehouse & SATO).
21. Provide 4 ports to Department Store and Supermarket EDP room only (not
cashier counters).
22. Provide technical support for the configuration of VLAN.
23. Carts and Kiosks areas should have 1 data and 1 voice port.

Active Equipment

1. Acceptable equipment – Cisco, Dlink and Nortel brands. Other brands need
to be pre-approved. (Limited/Lifetime Warranty)
2. 10/100 Mbps switched per port
3. Backbone Speed of 1 Gbps.
4. VLAN capable (802.1q standard)
5. At least 256 VLANs
6. VLANs should support 1 port shared over multiple VLANs (overlapping
VLANs).
a. e.g. VLAN 1 to include port 1 and 2, VLAN 2 to include port 1 and port 3,
etc…

E. OUTLETS, BOXES AND FITTINGS :

1. At all outlets of whatever kind, for all system, there shall be provided a suitable
fitting which either a box or other device especially designed to receive the
type of fitting to be mounted thereon.
2. The Contractor shall consult with the Engineer as to the nature of the various
fittings to be used before installing his outlet fittings, and shall conform strictly
in the use of fittings to the nature of the appliance to be mounted on them, so
that the work, when completed will be a finished design.
3. All outlets on exposed conduit work shall be cast alloy conduit fittings of proper
type, as manufactured by Fumaco, Quapcor or approved equal.
4. At all outlets on exposed conduit work, provide galvanized pressed steel outlet
boxes of standard make. These boxes shall be in all cases standard and
where such boxes are not available on the market, special boxes shall secured
by the Contractor at his own expense. In general outlet boxes shall be at least
100 mm in diameter, 53 mm deep and No. 16 minimum gauge.
5. Boxes shall be as manufactured by Fumaco, Quapcor or approved equal.

F. JUNCTION AND PULL BOXES:

1. Junction and pull boxes, Code gauge steel,galvanized shall be provided as


indicated or as required for facilitating the pulling of wires and cables. Pull
boxes in finished places shall be located and installed with the permission and
to the satisfaction of the Architect.
2. All junction and pull boxes on exposed conduit work shall be provided with
hubs for threaded pipe entry and covers provided with neoprene gaskets.

3. Boxes shall be as manufactured by Fumaco, Quapcor or approved equal.

G. WIRES AND CABLES:

1. All wires shall be copper, soft-drawn and annealed, shall be of 98%


conductivity, shall be smooth and true of a cylindrical form and shall be within
1% of the actual size called for.
2. All wires and cables shall comply with the requirements of the Underwrites
Laboratories, the A.S.T.M. and I.C.E.A. as they apply to the particular usage.
3. All wires and cables shall be manufactured by Columbia Wire and Cable or
approved equal.

H. TESTS DURING INSTALLATION:

1. The following tests shall be conducted by the Contractor during installation of


wiring and system components. Any deficiency pertaining to these
requirements shall be corrected by the Contractor prior to final functional and
operational tests of the system.

2. GROUND RESISTANCE:
The resistance of each connection to ground shall be measured and shall not
exceed 10 ohms.

3. DIELECTRIC STRENGTH AND INSULATION RESISTANCE:


The dielectric strength and insulation resistance of the system interconnecting
wiring shall be tested by means of an instrument capable of generating 500
volts direct current and equipped to indicate leakage current in 1000 megohms.
For the purpose of this test, the instrument shall be connected between each

connected devices in place. The system shall withstand the test without
breakdown and shall be indicate a resistance of not less than 500,000 ohms,
the measurement being taken after an electrification of not more than one
minute with a direct-current potential of not less than 100 volts nor more than
550 volts.

I. TESTS UPON COMPLETION:

1. Upon completion of the installation, the system shall subjected to complete


functional and operational tests including tests in place of each detector.
When all required corrections have been accomplished, the system shall
retested and the Engineer notified of readiness for final inspection. At this time
any and all required tests shall be rated and any defects corrected until the
system is found to be acceptable. The Contractor shall furnish all instruments,
labor and materials required for the tests, and a qualified technician to conduct
the tests.
