Difference between Phonological awareness and Phonics

Difference between phonological awareness and phonics, according to [J Ring, 1999], it means
phonological awareness was about to her and control the words that sound in different ways or the
words that are spoken. This may include the words that comes under phonemes like syllables is to
pronounced the words according to the sound of the words, rhymes are about to pronounced according
to the correspondence of sound between words or the ending of words and phonemes is to pronounce
the words according to the 44 sound s of the words and for the Phonics was about for teaching children
on how to applying a reading skills to pronounce a words fluently and can be able to write in an effective
English language. It helps children on how to constructed a good writing and reading skills with oral
language. This are the skills of the reading and writing an effective English language in oral and written
language development. In this essay discussed about on how we as a teacher we can use those skills to
teach children on how to catches the different words that are containing the 44 words sounds spoken
words using phonological awareness and although how to teach children on how to read and write on
one word to another in English language using phonics and the differences between phonological
awareness and phonics.

Firstly, how to listen and control the differences of the words that were orally spoken using phonological
awareness. According to [VA Mann-cognition, 1986], state that to listen and control difference units of
sound in oral words using phonological awareness, it was must to includes the syllables, rhymes and
phonemes, all of these words comes under or categorized under orally or written words using
phonological awareness, it was must for us to includes those three words. Syllables is to break down
words into their smaller units that happens as the earliest stages for the phonemes, syllables, and
rhymes. This was the accurate and easiest ways to help the readers or children as the beginners to break
down the words that contains the phonemes words. The examples are like having three syllables as
tomato [to-ma to], mobile phones [Mo-bile-phones] and other words that you can think and mentioned
them. When the students think and understand the syllables of each words they can now pronounce the
spoken words more effectively and accurately. Another is rhymes, means one word does not belong to.
Hearing, recognizing, and for enjoy yourself with rhymes in oral and written words with story, songs and
poems you as the teacher can easily help the children on how to differentiate the sounds of the words
more fluently or easily when they have the same sound. For example, correspondence of the sound in
the words or syllables of the two or more varies at the same sound especially with respect to the last
syllables like hat and cat rhymes. The final was the catching of the last sound under phonemes, a
phonemes awareness the idea of catching the last sound according to the units of one phoneme but
hopefully, the words were meaning the different thing altogether. All of these were mostly suitable
when dealing with spoken words using phonological awareness.

Secondly, to teach on how to read and write one word to another in English language using phonics.
Phonics is used for teaching beginners regarding by training to associate letters with their sound values.
Phonics is used to read and write one word to another, phonics is there to help guide children on how to
read and write the correct and accurate words that were pronounced. As beginners’ teachers need to
teach them on how to pronounce each letter for a word so that children can pronounce a letter
accurately to in line with a word. The aim to teach phonics to the beginners is to build the ability to
recognized and identify individuals sound [phonemes] in words that they say or hear and then they
learnt to recognized the letters forms of these sounds in bold writing, for example, when you ask
children to spelt the word cat, as beginners, then you need to separate the letters like that c-a-t in

printed words then you pronounce the letters according to the sound of the letters and ask them to
follow. This is how you teach the beginners on how to read and write good English using phonics, even
though as the beginners they begin to find it difficult to pronounce a word correctly. Accurate spelling of
a word as a teacher, you must pronounce a letter according to their sound. As of the beginners, they
cannot read because they cannot have recognized the letter form of each phoneme in each word. The
child need to learn how to recognize the letter form of this phonemes in printed words. The sound of
the letters is 44 phonemes and 26 alphabetical letters.

Finally, according to [LC Ehri, 2004], the difference between phonological awareness and phonics,
phonological awareness is known as the process of learning the beginners with the accurate and the
appropriate ways of reading and writing skills in sound in oral and writing methods. This is the method
to get successfully in English language. To get successful in your English, we all need to be familiar with
the different types of phonological awareness according to their categorized of the three words,
syllables, rhymes, and phonemes. This is because of the big five reading, the foundation of the learning
under the category of phonological awareness, the syllabic awareness, rhymes, and phonemic
awareness is clearly direct us on how to use phonological awareness. However, these three words of
phonological awareness are different but all of these are the beginners of the reading and writing
through learning, the reading and writing English language. Example, when you want to write good
English language, you need to break the words into the syllables and then do the correspondence to the
sound or syllables and after that you compare the sound especially with the respect of the last syllables
in phonological awareness and words are then broken down into their syllables. Phonics is the starter of
the spelling of the words, when you want to write a good English language you need to apply the
phonics. Over the course of this category phonics is used to comprehensive the programmed, as the
beginners the children can be able to learn how to speak fluent English and how to master tricky phonics
sounds. The three categories of phonics are, modeled, guided and independent teaching and this is the
central and should be main aim of learning a good fluent English language. Example likewise when you
pronounce a word cat, you may have called according to their letter sound; c-a-t. These are the sum of
the difference between phonological awareness and phonics.

To conclude, phonological awareness is the skill of catching the last sound of a word and starting a word
again and also it can be sound the same but have different meanings. The phonics is the skills of
pronouncing a words according to their letters of the sound including the 44 sound of the letters and 26
alphabetical. The phonological awareness and phonics are the skills of starting to reading and writing of
good fluent English language and this the way of speaking and writing.
