    • This activity works great individually or in pairs.
    • I like to project the directions page on my SmartBoard,
    and go over how to complete the activity with my students.
    Don’t worry if you don’t have a projection! You can just
    explain to students how to complete the activity.

    section then they need to check their answers.

    Reflection: Explain how you add or subtract fractions with unlike


    denominators. First, you need to find common denominators by determining the
    least common multiple of the denominators. Rewrite equivalent fractions with the
    denominator as the LCM. Perform the given operation and reduce if possible.
