Narrative Report on
Women’s Month Celebration
March 15, 2024
S.Y. 2023-2024
In consonance with the country’s celebration of Women’s month, Lucena
Dalahican National High school conducted some activities reiterating the
significant role of women in our society.
Women’s Month stands for the celebration of every Juana as a powerful individual
portraying various roles and activities that would radiate and emanate resilience,
achievements amidst the many adversities that we are facing for. Each year this
celebration not just commemorates but also a call to action, reflection of one’s
progress and an avenue of change.
With this year’s theme “ Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas ,Kakayahan ng
Kababaihan Patutunayan “ . LDNHS give due importance to our role as a woman
in the society by taking care of ourselves since health is wealth and we cannot give
what we don’t have if we tend to neglect our body. As such last March 15, 2024,
we had conducted a Zumba as a means to show to the world that self- care and
physical activities matters most and having this kind of activity will benefit us to
become healthy, wealthy and wise and protect us from sickness. I had invited two
of our alumni batch 2008 and 2014 in the person of Jefferson Sinohin and Jojo
Dimaculangan to lead the said Zumba physical fitness day. It is a one-hour

Zumba that made the participants sweat and stretch their body. A one-hour
activity to indulge on recreational activity and make us stop to realize how
important our health is. This Zumba dance was participated by selected teachers
and non- teaching personnel together with some students having no class at that
time. Truly this one-hour activity boosts our confidence, releases our tension and
makes us relax and build endurance and a day to destress. A simple snack was
given to the Zumba instructors as a way of showing gratitude to their time being
extended to us. Participants showed their enthusiasm also that this activity must
be done monthly so that they could exercise their body amidst the many activities
that everyone was engaging in.

Poster Making Activity
Women’s Month Celebration

One of the most awaited months of each school is the women’s month
celebration wherein women are given a chance to express oneself on their right
and duties as well as the for the welfare of everybody proclaiming that they are not
only for fashion and beauty but more so on having their guts and glory to indulge
in whatever competition.
Thus, the grade twelve HUMSS students under my care had undergone a poster
making activity as part of the Women’s Month celebration. This activity would
help me discover how students’ express ideas into visual aspect as a test on their
creativity on our subject creative non- fiction. This year’s theme: Lipunang Patas
sa Bagong Pilipinas, Kakayahan ng Kababaihan Patunayan, some points to
consider as well as the rubrics on how the students work can be graded were given
emphasis before they start the said activity.
This activity will help the students to reminisce what a women can do by
awakening one’s heart and desire the passion to share good things inculcated on
the heart of a women to anyone whom she met along the way. It is also an avenue
to show one’s talents and abilities in art making. In returned they would realized
that everybody can make a major contribution if we internalized our thoughts,
words and action into reality . Everybody can have a big impact as we portray the

roles being given to us either we are a woman or a man -equality must prevail for a
better society that everybody needs to reside. Through the poster making activity
learners can capture our attention, convey the key information as what the theme
is expecting for and leave a lasting impression depending upon the idea that the
students wanted to portray and address to us. Truly this activity would develop
students’ creativity and high order thinking skill ability. Injecting various teaching
strategies is also a good way to transcend quality education that every learner
must experience.
