The School Based Feeding Program aims to address hunger and encourage
learners; contribute to improvement of their nutritional status and provide
nourishment for their growth and development and help boost their immune system
and enhance health and nutrition values and behavior
The program goal is to provide nutritious food products. The Primary
beneficiaries of the SBFP are Kindergarten learners and Grade 1 learners under the
wasted and severely wasted category in the nutritional status report. The program
targeted all Kindergarten pupils and undernourished pupils in Elementary. Bagong
Silang Elementary School headed by Ma’am Maria Dolores C. Meneses is one of the
beneficiaries of School Based Feeding Program. The beneficiaries are 31
Kindergarten and 23 undernourished Grade 1 pupils. The School-Based Feeding
Program Food packs includes nutritious foods like Milky Bun, E-Nutribun, cereals,
eggs and nutritious food packs. With the helped of other Kindergarten Teacher
Ma’am Perlita Jane Espinoza, assistant Nutrition Coordinator Ma’am Elsa Colobong
and the teachers of the school, the food packs delivered to the selected pupils.
The SBFP has a big impact to the beneficiaries especially in their health and
nutrition. The program assured that the food packs are healthy and nutritious. It may
not be possible without the help of the teachers and the parents of the beneficiaries.
