 1 Overview

1.1 Application
WiseFind is network monitoring product designed for conveniently managing the UPS and the server
that monitors the UPS. It can search the SNMP in user LAN and set, modify and update the SNMP.

The main function is as follows.

 Search the SNMP in the LAN and read the SNMP information, such as the serial number, IP
address, Mac address, version.

 Set the SNMP's network information, such as IP, mask, gateway.

 Login the webpage of the SNMP and set other working parameters.

 Realizesthe updateof firmware.

The early operating system, such as Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT, Microsoft Windows 2000, may
not so good in compatibility, if you want to use them, please consult the supplier.
 2 OperationProcedure

2.1 Install and Uninstall WiseFind

2.1.1 Install WiseFind
Put the CD into the CD ROM drive and click the WiseFind.exe icon, then it will enter to the setup
wizard.As shown in Figure2-1 to Figure2-8.

If other software is not allowed to install in system disk, please set the installing folder by yourself,
which is to avoid abnormal installation or running, etc.

2.1.2 Uninstall WiseFind

If there needs to uninstall software, you can do it in the start menu or the installation files according
to the uninstallation wizard.

2.2 Startup
After installing WiseFind, please find the shortcut key in the menu bar, desktop, quick launch bar or
root directory to start it.

3.1 Main Interface

The detailedinformation is as follows.

The searching result interface:showsthe searching result of the SNMP card, such as product serial
number, IP address, Mac address.

The information display of SNMP card: showsthe checked SNMP card information, including
software version, firmware version, system name, system administrator name and the system location
position.

The operation log display: showsthe configuration operation log of the network and the firmware's
updating log.

The status bar of main page: Show the current status of software, including ready, searching and
finishing search.

Search Search the SNMP card in the LAN and read the SNMP information, such
as serial number, IP address, MAC address.

Software will search every twenty seconds

Launch web Login the webpage of checkedSNMP card.

Network Set the network information of checkedSNMP, such as IP, mask, gateway.

Update Update the firmware of the SNMP.

About Look up the software version and copyright.

3.2 Network Configuration

The network configuration has two types of IP configuration to select.

1. Obtain IP by DHCP.

2. Use static IP and set subnet mask and gateway at the same time.

If the network environment of software cannot get IP by DHCP, please use the static IP.

3.3 Firmware Update

Double click the updating file to update the firmware of the SNMP.

 If the FTP port of network environment is unable,it will lead to the firmware update failure. In this
case, please consult supplier.
