Written Test
A1
Text:
My name’s Maria and I’m 19 years old. I was born in Venice, Italy and I lived there till I
was 11. Then, we moved to Rome because of my father’s job. He is a businessman.

I loved our first house. It was big and comfortable. It had two floors and a garden where
there were flowers and a pool. The kitchen and the living room were in the first floor. There were
also a small dining room and a toilet. Upstairs, there were three bedrooms and mine was next to
my parents’ bedroom. I played hide and seek with my two siblings, Antonio and Sofia on
holidays because the house had many places to hide.

Last summer, we visited Venice again. We went to my grandparents’ house and they were
so happy to see us. One day, I went shopping with my sister and we bought a lot of clothes. We
also had lunch at 12:30. We ate pasta and pizza. In the afternoon, we went to the Grand Canal
and we had a long walk underneath the sunset. It was unforgettable.
