INTRODUCTION
According to Smith, J., & Green, L. (2022). The Environmental and health risks posed by
waste accumulation, emphasizing the need for community-driven initiatives like cleanup drives
to reduce pollution, improve public health, and promote sustainable practices.
Project "SMART Solutions for a Cleaner Environment" is designed to carry out a clean-
up campaign that will be attended by the local community members and will also focus on the
village green issues, greenification, and desirability of the civic existence.
PURPOSE
The goal of this project is to decrease pollution to local air and water, increase proper
waste disposal and encourage the community to take care of the environment by carrying out a
cleanup exercise. It also involve the volunteers and stakeholders in making this happen and seek
to promote awareness of the environment, changing the habits of the people and this will in the
long run see changes in public areas. This initiative will employ objectives that are target-
oriented according to the SMART format so that actions to employ will be specific, measurable,
attainable, relevant, and time-bound to have significant community impact in the cleanup
exercise. The project will utilize local resources, including donations, fundraising activities,
volunteerism, and business support, to involve residents, foster community spirit, and save
money.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The increasing environmental waste poses risks to public health, particularly in less
privileged regions. Ineffective waste management leads to water pollution and disease spread.
(Smith & Green, 2022). In addition, due to a problem of low or no community participation in
the issues of waste management, this project aims to fill this gap by encouraging community
participation in reducing environmental resource use and promoting health-enhancing practices.
The program's basis will be to determine whether or not the community will improve on
waste management and be more environmentally conscious once they are cleaned and organized
using SMART goals. Based on the above hypothesis, the applicable model of action is the
participatory action research model that aims at engaging the community in identifiable problems
within the community. The approach was implementation by, Local volunteers, students, and
other community members will carry out monthly cleaning exercises in affected stations. Local
authorities will arrange both the needed supply and the workshops related to the problem of
waste disposal and recycling. This means that the approach includes SMART goals, cooperation
with schools and other organizations, as well as the use of preliminary data on results.
The project aims to improve waste disposal efficiency, reduce environmental pollution,
increase environmental consciousness, and involve stakeholders. It will benefit society by
improving living conditions, conserving the environment, and sharing responsibilities. Proper
waste disposal can reduce public hygiene spending and enhance property appreciation. The
project could help other communities address similar issues and promote environmental
protection.
PROJECT TEAM
A community clean-up will be carried out by the S.M.A.R.T. Solution for a Cleaner
Environment: Community Cleanup Drive project in association with the Sangguniang Kabataan
of Paniqui. This will require a well-thought-out strategy about when to hold awareness
campaigns, how to assemble volunteers, and how to get the local government to approve the
disposal of waste. Local schools will be involved in the project through implementation of the
project in their curriculum, mobilization of students to participate in the project, and acting as the
link between the students and the project implementers. Other stakeholders will be the members
of the community, and they will be very vital since they will volunteer their time into the cleanup
events and also help spread the project around their neighborhoods. In order to contain the
commitment from all the stakeholders towards the realization of the project, written agreement
shall be entered.
BUDGET TIMELINE
The “SMART Solutions for a Cleaner Environment” project has a budget of ₱1,500. This

materials like printed handouts. Finally, ₱200 will be set aside to cater to miscellaneous costs
such as refreshments for the volunteers and any unforeseen expenditure. The whole project has to
be completed within half a month. In the first week, we will organize meetings with
stakeholders, finalize project details, and prepare clean-up supplies and promotional items.
During the second week, we will conduct clean-up drives, host educational workshops, and
review the outcome of the project. This short time span ensures that there is concentrated and
efficient implementation of this community clean-up initiative.
