What is the Desktop Utility?
The Desktop Utility is a small application loaded to the PC for managing offline processes.
Once installed, an icon appears in the taskbar showing that the utility is active.
The system automatically installs these components as part of the installation process
described in the following pages.

After reviewing the End User License Agreement (EULA), click “I Agree” to continue.

Desktop Utility enabled with Web Extension to connect
with the Print-Scan-Ship Application
To connect the Desktop Utility with the Print-Scan-Ship application, the Web Extension
enablement on web browsers (Chrome or Firefox only) is required. Web Extension is the Web
Native MessagingCommunication to connect the Print-Scan-Ship application with the Desktop
Utility.
Note:
Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers Do Not support the Print-Scan-Ship
Application using Web Extensions. It is recommended that you download the latest version
of Firefox or Chrome, the recommended browsers, at your earliest convenience.
Only the Desktop Utility version 2.0.1.16 (or above) supports Web Extension. Refer to the
previous section to download the latest version from the Resources section on your
Homepage.
The recommended operating system is Windows 10.

The Infor Print-Scan-Ship web extension on the Chrome browser supports connectivity
betweenthe Desktop Utility and Print-Scan-Ship application.

= The Desktop Utility is running but not connected to the Print-Scan-Ship application
From this point forward, the Desktop Utility loads automatically every time you start your
computer. To manually start the utility, locate it under Programs > TradeCard. Select
TradeCard Desktop to start.
To test the Desktop Utility is connect with the Print-Scan-Ship application, login to the Infor
Nexus platform and navigate to the Print- Scan-Ship screen. Screenshot below confirms you
are all set.

As a result, the Desktop Utility status changes to active / connected. The status icon replaces

Printer Setup
1. Right Click on the Desktop Utility status icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
5. To offer additional printers in addition to the default, check others for Use this printer for
printing labels and then check No Default Label Printer at the bottom of the window.

7. To confirm your printer is setup properly:
a. Right Click on the Desktop Utility icon.
b. From the menu select “Setup”, then “Test Print”
c. A test page should be sent to your default printer
3. Scanner type: Select Casio.RS-970 if you have this model of the Casio handheld scanner.
Select Casio.RS-9xx if you have any earlier model, such as the RS-930 or RS-940. (Only
this family of Casio handheld scanners is supported)
4. Scanner Name: Enter a common name for your scanner. If you use multiple versions of
firmware, be sure to name scanners so each is clearly identified with its version of firmware.
5. Select the firmware version: The firmware version is visible on the Main Menu screen of
your scanner. If you selected the Casio.RS-970 as your Scanner, choose TV200D or
JV100based on what is displayed on the scanner. For earlier models of the Casio scanner,
chooseeither TV200 or ICEV20x based on what is displayed on the scanner. Select JV100
only in consultation with your service representative. (Note: If you currently have the
firmware version ICEV20x, contact your service representative regarding upgrading to the
better performing version TV200.) For Denso Scanner select the TV 200 firmware version.

6. Select a Port (default is port 1).
7. Select Baud as 19200 for Scanner type Casio.RS-9xx OR select 115200 for Scanner type
Casio.RS- 970.
8. When done, click “Apply” and then “Save” .

RFID Scanner Setup
1. Right Click on the Desktop Utility status icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
3. Device is set to Nordic ID Sampo S1. (Only this model of RFID scanner is currently
supported.)
4. Test connection: Click this button to confirm connection to your USB Nordic scanner. The
scanner must be plugged in and turned on. State: will show as Connected if scanner is
found.
5. Test Read can be used to test the scanner and read range once the scanner is in a
Connected state. Pass an RFID tag near the scanner and the EPC tag will show in the
EPC Tag box.
6. Adjust the scanner read range with by moving the Tx Level bar. Make sure you are not
reading RFID tags outside of the desired read range of the packing station.
7. When done adjusting range, click “Apply” and then “Save”.
8. Click “Close” to close the setup window.

Troubleshooting
If the Infor Print-Scan-Ship Firefox Web Extension fails to connect to the Pack and Ship
application with the Infor Nexus Desktop Utility, check first if your Desktop Utility is upgraded
to the latest version 2.0.1.16 (or above). To work with Web Extension, the updated Desktop
Utility is required.
1. Enforce the Desktop Utility upgrade by downloading the tool from the Resources section
under Home page. Refers to the Desktop Utility Installation section in this guide for details.
2. Reinstall the Web Extension, if disabled or removed.
3. If the Web Extension still fails to connect to the Print-Scan-Ship application after reinstalled
of both Desktop Utility and Web Extension, contact your member services professional to
create a support case to resolve the installation issue ASAP.

2. Click the Remove button to remove the Infor Print-Scan-Ship Firefox web extension
If the Infor Print-Scan-Ship Chrome web extension fails to connect to the Pack and Ship

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can I use Internet Explore and/or Microsoft Edge Browser for Print-Scan-Ship
Application?
No, Internet Explore and Microsoft Edge browsers DO NOT support Print-Scan-
Ship Application Using Web Extensions. It is highly recommended to download
the latest version of Firefox or Chrome to ensure the communication mechanism
to perform as expected.
3. Can I use Windows 7 32 bit version and Chrome/Firefox Web Extension to run the
Print-Scan-Ship application?
Yes. Prior to the Web Extension enablement, you must download and install the
latest version ofthe .NET framework or .Net framework version 4.6.1 by
accessing the URL:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49981. When you
have the latest .NET framework version installed, move forward to download
and install the Chrome/Firefox Infor Print-Scan-Ship web extension to complete
the setup. If you still have issue to successfullyconnect to the Print-Scan-Ship
page, contact your Infor Nexus Service Team for support.
Note: At some cases, Windows 7 64 bit version users might also need to install
the .NET Framework, too, to ensure a smooth installation of the Web
Extension. To find out if you havethe required .NET Framework installed, refer
to How to: Determine which .NET Framework versions are installed to identify
your .NET Framework version, if applicable.
4. I have enabled the Web Extension but unable to connect the Desktop Utility with
thePrint-Scan-Ship application, what should I do?
To identify the possible causes and resolve the issue, follow the steps below:
a. To work with Web Extension, you need to have the updated Desktop Utility
(version 2.0.1.16 or above) installed. Check if you’re using the latest version
of the Desktop Utility.
b. Enforce the Desktop Utility upgrade if your Desktop Utility is out of date.
c. Re-install the Infor Print-Scan-Ship Web Extension or ensure it is enabled.
d. If the Web Extension now connects the Desktop Utility with Print-Scan-Ship
application, you are all set. If not, contact your Infor Nexus Service Team for
support to fix the installation issue.

5. When should I upgrade the Desktop Utility or Install the Web Extension?
The Desktop Utility should have been automatically upgraded once you load the
Print-Scan-Ship screen on the Infor Nexus platform. In case that the ‘silent
update’ fails, you can manually enforce the Desktop Utility upgrade by
downloading the tool from Resources section again. We strongly suggest to
enable the Web Extension along with the Desktop Utility upgrade immediately to
ensure a smooth connection with the Print-Scan-Ship application.
d. If the Utility is already connected, it will ask you to either re-connect or cancel.
