Appendix B
(Content of Intervention)
As mentioned earlier the seventh-grade students at Kiangan National

High School have shown signs of having trouble grasping the material, which

tends to lead to poor academic results. Based on the observation of the

researchers with Grade 7 students of Kiangan National High School, it shows

that they have haunting with numerous Math difficulties which include: lack of

interest in learning that leads to poor understanding of math concepts; lack of

students' engagement, and difficulty in performing the basic operations in a

simple mathematical equation. The researchers are attempting to solve this

issue by introducing new techniques in teaching and learning process. This

new technique was utilized by the researchers in the entire duration of their

intervention

This technique is called PE-CLASS OR GE-CLASS, where P stands

for PARENTHESIS and G stands for GROUPINGS, E stands for EXPONENT,

CL stands for COMBINE LIKE TERMS, A stands for ADDITION, S stands for

SUBTRACTION, and lastly S stands for SIMPLIFICATION or SIMPLIFY.
