VERY SHORT ANSWER TYPE QUESTIONS (1 MARK) 1. An electron is not deflected in passing through a certain region of space. Can we be sure that there is no magnetic field in that region? 2. SHORT ANSWER TYPE QUESTIONS (2 MARKS) 11. Flashes of colourful lights appearing in sky are due to charged particles moving in magnetic field. Explain How? 12. 13. What do you mean by current sensitivity of a moving coil Galvanometer? On what factors do it depends? 14. Deduce an expression for the magnetic field at a point on the axis of a bar magnet. 15. Obtain the magnetic dipole moment of an atom due to a revolving electron and hence discuss Bohr magneton. 32. Write an expression for force experienced by a charged particle moving in a uniform magnetic field is? With the help of labeled diagram, explain principle working of a cyclotron. Show that cyclotron frequency does not depend upon the speed of particles. 33. What are the categories in which magnetic materials are classified? Explain their differences. 34. Draw the diagram to show behavior of magnetic filed lines near a bar of (i)copper (ii) Aluminium (ii)mercury coiled to a very low temperature (4.2k). Also determine the category of material.
