1ST QUARTER S.Y. 2024-2025
TLE- CSS (Computer Systems Servicing) 9
GRADE LEVEL: 9 NUMBER OF ENROLLEES: 36

Descriptive Statistics Results of DIAGNOSTIC TEST

Column1

Mean 33.27
Standard Error 1.17
Median 17.50
Mode 13.00
Standard Deviation 5.96
Sample Variance 35.52
Kurtosis -1.02
Skewness -0.32
Range 21.00
Minimum 5.00
Maximum 26.00
Sum 865.00
Count 26.00

The table above shows the following analysis and interpretation of data:

For 9 - EVERLASTING, out of 36 total enrolees, there are 26 or 72.22 % learners who took the test. The
class obtained a mean of 33.27 out of a 1-item test. From the class’s standard deviation of 5.96, it can be
observed that the spread of the distribution of the scores is NOT NORMAL. Moreover, the data is NEGATIVELY
skewed; therefore, more students obtained scores HIGHER than the mean.

*The class obtained a mean of 33.27 out of the 50-item periodical test.

Step 3: Describe the spread of your data. Use the standard deviation to determine how spread out the data are
from the mean. A higher standard deviation value indicates greater spread in the data. With normal data, most
of the observations are spread within 3 standard deviations on each side of the mean. A good rule of thumb for
a normal distribution is that approximately 68% of the scores fall within one standard deviation of the mean,
95% of the scores fall within two standard deviations, and 99.7% of the scores fall within three standard

*If there are no “outliers” or no score is outside two standard deviations: It can be observed that the spread of
distribution of the scores is normal.

the spread of the scores is normal with ___ extreme score.

*If there are more than three outliers: It can be observed that the spread of the scores data represented is not
normal.
