(No more than 5 persons per group)

Report Writing

This assessment is designed to evaluate teacher candidates' understanding of various types of


reports, their relevance, and the role of report writing in teaching writing skills. Candidates will
collaborate in groups to create a written submission outlining the different types of reports,
providing examples, and explaining the importance and relevance of report writing in the
teaching experience.

Task

As a group, teacher candidates are expected to complete the following tasks:

1. Outline the Types of Reports:


○ Identify four types of reports commonly used in educational settings.
○ Provide examples for each type to illustrate their use in a real-world context.
2. Explain the Importance of Report Writing:
○ Discuss why report writing is important in both educational and professional
contexts.
○ Address how effective report writing aids in documentation, communication, and
decision-making.
3. Relevance of Report Writing in Teaching:
○ Explain how report writing helps improve students’ writing skills.
○ Discuss how it can be incorporated into the classroom to enhance students'
understanding of structure, clarity, and logical presentation of information.
○ Provide specific examples of report writing assignments that could be used to
develop students’ writing abilities (e.g., book reports, science reports, incident
reports, etc.).

Submission Guidelines:

● Written Submission Only.


● Length: 6-8 pages, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font.
● Use APA 7th Edition style for any citations or references.
● Ensure equal collaboration from all group members.
