Identification
This part introduces the subject to be described (name, location, and
specific information about place/animal/person/thing).
Description
This part shows the detailed description of the subject. It may
include information about the appearance or qualities of the subject,
such as: shapes, materials, sizes, feelings, quantities, colours,
qualities, location and taste.

Simple Present
Simple present tense is used to:
Talk about fact that are generally true or stay true for a long
time.
E.g. you are the best friend that anyone ould ever ask for.
Describe feelings and senses.
E.g. I am very grateful.
I love you
Letters “es” is added (passes, catches, buzzes, pushes, mixes) after a
sound spelled as “s”, “z”, “ch”, “sh” and “x”.
A word with “y” preceded by a consonant, the “y” is changed to “i”
and “es” is added (carries, tries).
Verbal Sentence
+) Subject +V1 + s/es + Complement
Examples:
I write a letter.
He goes to school.
Nominal Sentence
+) Subject + to be + Complement (Noun/adverb/adjective)
Examples:
He is a teacher
We are a group of students.
Degrees of comparison
Degrees of comparison are used when we compare one person or one thing
with another.
1) Positif degree
When we are describing an equal state between two objects.
Subject + verb/ to be + as + adjective + as + noun/pronoun
Examples:
He is as tall as him.
This flower is as beautiful as her.
Semarang is as hot as Surabaya
2) Comparative degree
When we compare two persons or two things with each other.
Subject + verb/ to be + (adjective + er / more + adjective) + than +
noun/ pronoun.
Examples:
This house is bigger than that one.
Mila runs faster than Nanda.
Harry’s watch is more expensive than mine.
3) Superlative degree
Superlative means “the most”. This degree is used to show which
one among three or more objects has the most “quality”.
Subject + verb/ to be + the + (adjective+est / most + adjective) + C
Examples:
Eko is the laziest student in my school.
This is the most interesting piece of work.
Jono is the tallest boy in my family.
