If f and g are differentiable at x,then fg is differentiable at x,

d
and dx {f (x )g(x )} = f 1 (x )g(x ) + f (x )g 1 (x )
The product rule says that the derivative of the product of
two functions is formed by multiplying the derivative of each
by the other and then adding the results.
