(i) This question paper comprises four sections – A, B, C and D. This question paper carries 38

(iii) Section B : Question number 21 to 26 comprises of 6 questions of two mark each.
(iv) Section C : Question number 27 to 32 comprises of 6 questions of three mark each.
(v) Section D : Question number 33 to 38 comprises of 6 questions of five mark each.

27. Prove that √3 in an irrational number.

28. find the zeros of f(x) = 6x2-3 and verify the relationship between the zeros and the coefficients.

29. Find the sum of first 15 multiple of 8.

30. If the 10th term of an AP is 52 and the 17th term is 20 more than the 13th term. Find AP.

31. In fig. PQ is Parallel to MN. If KP/PM = 4/13 and KN = 20.4 cm. Find KQ.

32. If A(-2,-1) B(a,0) C(4,b) and D(1,2) are the vertices of a parallelogram. Find the value of a and b.

Section – D(5 Marks)

33. Write and prove the Basic Proportionality Theorem.

34. A and B are friends and their ages differ by 2 years. A’s Father D is twice as old as A and B is twice as
old as his sister C. The age of D and C differ by 40 years. Find the ages of A and B.

35. The sum of a two digit number and the number formed by interchanging its digits is 110. If 10 is
subtracted from the first number. The new number is 4 more than 5 times the sum of the digit in
the first number. Find the first number.

36. If the equation (1+m2)x2+2mcx+(c2+a2) =0 has equal roots. Prove that c2=a2(1+m2)

37. Solve the equation 1+4+7+10+………………+x=287.
