36. A seminar is being conducted by an educational organisation, where the participants will be educators of
different subjects. The numbers of participants in Hindi, English and Mathematics are 60, 84 and 108
respectively.

(i)In each room the same number of participants are to be seated and all of them being in the same subject,
what is the maximum number of participants that can be accommodated in each room?
(ii) What is the maximum number of rooms required during the event?
(iii) What is the LCM of 60, 84 and 108.
(iv) What is the product of HCF and LCM of 60,84 and 108 ?

37. Polynomials are everywhere. They play a key role in the study of algebra, in analysis and on the whole many
mathematical problems involving them. Since polynomials are used to describe curves of various types,
engineers use polynomials to graph the curves of roller coasters.

(i)If the Roller Coaster is represented by the graph y = p(x), shown in the figure, then find the number of
zeroes of the polynomial.
(ii) Which type of polynomial is represented by part A of the roller coaster.

(iii)If 6 and -5 are the two zeros of a polynomial then find the polynomial.

(iv) Give one real life example for the polynomials other than Roller Coaster.

38. In a game of luck Two dice, one blue and one grey, are thrown at the same time. Arman will win the game if
the sum of the two numbers appearing on the top is greater than 10 or a doublet. Depending on the above
statement answer the following questions :

(i) Write down total number of possible outcomes.


(ii) What is the probability that the sum of the two numbers appearing on the top is greater than 10 ?
(ii) What is the probability of getting a doublet ?
(iv) What is the probability that Arman will win the game ?


