1. INTRODUCTION

After acquiring skills in this module, students shall be able to Employ electronic
knowledge to interpret electronic components’ specifications in implementing electronic
circuits, Apply electronic knowledge to interpret electronic circuit diagrams in constructing
electronic circuits. In particular, students will learn how to Use electronic skills to build
simple electronic circuits in solving telecommunication related problems

The study guide was developed on 12th October 2024 to be implemented first semester
in the academic year 2024/2025.

1.1 Learning Activities

1.1.1 Consultations
Six (06) hours per week will be allocated for consultations throughout the semester and
the time table for consultation can be found at the Office door.

1.1.2 Assessments
Assessment shall have two components that are assessed separately namely continuous
Assessment (CA) and end of Semester Examinations (SE). The candidates shall be
required to pass both of them.

Weighting of assessment components unless specified otherwise at the beginning of the

semester shall be CA 60% and SE 40%.The CA consists of several components as
indicated in the Table 1.1 below.

Table 1.1: CA Components and Weight Distribution
