    Subject: Declaration of result of UGC – NET June 2024 – reg.

    The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for
    determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for (i) ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment
    as Assistant Professor’, (ii)’appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and (iii) ‘admission
    to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges.

    The UGC – NET June 2024 was conducted by NTA in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 83 subjects
    spanning over 11 days in 21 shifts in 280 cities across the country for 11,21,225 candidates, as per the
    following schedule:

    To make the examination system transparent, the Question Paper, Provisional Answer Key(s) and
    Recorded Responses of the concerned candidates were hosted on the NTA website
    https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in from 07th September to 14th September 2024 (two phases) to invite
    challenges. Challenges received were verified by the experts and results prepared as per the answer
    keys finalized by experts.
    Result at a Glance is as follows:
    Number of candidates registered 11,21,225
    Number of candidates appeared 6,84,224
    Candidates qualified for JRF 4970
    Candidates qualified for Assistant Professor Only 53,694
    Candidates qualified for Ph.D. only 1,12,070

    The eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc., of the eligible candidates shall be
    verified as per norms specified in the Information Bulletin of UGC-NET June 2024. NTA does not take
    any responsibility towards correctness/genuineness of the uploaded information /documents during
    the application process.
    The certificates will be issued by NTA to the qualified candidates shortly.
