For your activity all you need to do is to


write at least one example of fruit bearing
trees on the paper with yarn. Each of you
will hold the yarn to control the pen class
the written word must be readable

I will give you 5 minutes to do the activity

E. DISCUSSING NEW CONCEPT AND MARCOTTING


PRACTICING NEW SKILLS # 2
Marcotting is a propagation where branch
is still part of the parent plant that can be
produce a new plant with covering rooting

Marcotting is the oldest method of plant


propagation, where the branch is still part
of the mother plant and cut off only when
the roots are fully developed

Steps in marcotting

1. Gather the all materials needed, knife


yarn , sawdust , transparent plastic sheet

2. Select a stem that can be marcotted


girdle it

3. Remove the bark and scrape the


cambium layer

4. Wrap the debark stem around it with


sawdust and plastic sheet then tie securely

5. Wait for it to keep moist to induce roots


to grow
