I am great thank you for this opportunity and I am excited about the possibility of working for
CORPS AFRICA

1. Tell me about your self


I have read the job description then my skills, qualification, knowledge and passion for this
are a great match for the position. I am an innovative public health officer with 4 years of
learning experience managing and monitoring all the aspect of the community by different
internship programs from solving community’s problems to sustainability, I am a motivated
and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion. Other than the community contact I
have greater than one year of experience in debremarkos university as a vice chief
assembler of debremarkos university health campus student union and have honed my
skills in identification of risks, management of risk, problem solving, communication and
influencing on that time. I am a quick learner and thrive in fast-paced environments. I am a
team player who is able to effectively collaborate with others to achieve company goals. I
am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills and experience to corps Africa non-
governmental organization and contribute to its success. Even if I love working in addis abeba, I
know that I am ready to take up a more challenging role in local areas and everywhere, and that is
why I am very excited about this position.

2. Why should we hire you without experience?


Although I may not have direct experience in this particular role, , I bring a fresh perspective,
enthusiasm and a strong willingness to learn and I possess a unique combination of skills and
qualities that make me a strong candidate for this position. I am a quick learner and have a
strong work ethic, which means I am eager to put in the time and effort necessary to learn the
ropes and excel in this role.

Additionally, my previous experiences as vice chief assembler, leading of the team at dmu for
internship and cbtp projects, red cross blood donation volunteer work have equipped me with
valuable skills such as leading the team, identifying the problems and working as a team. I am
confident that I can quickly adapt and apply these skills to excel in this position.

Lastly, hiring someone without direct experience can bring a fresh perspective and innovative
ideas to the team. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to bring a new and unique
perspective to the role, and I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and dedication to the
success of the team and the company.

3.What is your greatest strength?


My greatest strength is my ability to adapt and thrive in diverse and challenging environments. I
am a quick learner and am able to effectively problem solve and come up with creative
solutions when faced with new challenges. I am also very organized and detail-oriented, which
allows me to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively prioritize my workload.

Additionally, I excel in communication and teamwork, which enables me to collaborate


effectively with others and contribute positively to team dynamics. I believe that my
adaptability, patience to solving problems I am patient enough to turn a toxic work environment to a
positive one, and created a motivating environment where everyone can work comfortably.

4 .what is your greatest weakness?


My greatest weakness is probably my tendency to get deeply absorbed in a project, sometimes
leading me to overcommit myself. In public health, where priorities can shift rapidly and
emergencies can arise unexpectedly, it's essential to maintain flexibility and balance across
multiple responsibilities. To address this, I've learned to delegate effectively, prioritize tasks
based on urgency and importance, and regularly reassess my workload to ensure I'm managing
my time efficiently. Additionally, I actively seek feedback from colleagues and supervisors to
continuously improve my organizational skills and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

5. Can you describe a challenging situation you faced


at work and how you handled it?
Certainly in my previous team leading role at CBTP project we faced a tight deadline to
complete a project with a high degree of complexity. The team was under immense pressure
and conflict started to arise. I took the initiative to organize a team meeting when we openly
discussed our concerns and brain stormed solution.by fostering open communication and
reassigning tasks based on team member’s strength, we not only met the deadline but also
improved team dynamics.
6.where do you see yourself after five years?
I envision furthering my career by taking on more responsibilities and leadership roles within
the organization. I aspire to grow both professionally and personally, honing my skills and
expertise to make a meaningful impact within the company. I see myself contributing to the
success of the team and the organization as a whole, while also continuing to learn and develop
in order to achieve my long-term career goals.

7.tell me about a time you failed and what you learned


from it?
One particular instance where I experienced failure was when I was tasked with leading a team
for a thesis project that did not meet its deadline due to unforeseen challenges. Despite
meticulous planning and coordination, we encountered unexpected obstacles that delayed the
project significantly. This failure taught me the importance of adaptability and effective risk
management.

From this experience, I learned the significance of building contingency plans and being
prepared for unexpected setbacks. I also realized the importance of open communication with
team members and stakeholders to address issues promptly and collaboratively. Additionally, I
understood the value of seeking feedback and learning from mistakes to improve future project
management strategies.

This failure ultimately served as a valuable learning opportunity that has shaped my approach to
project management. I now approach challenges with a proactive mindset, emphasizing

project success.

When it comes to handling stress or pressure, I have developed several strategies that help me
effectively manage challenging situations. First and foremost, I believe in maintaining a positive
mindset and staying focused on the task at hand. By breaking down complex projects into
smaller, manageable tasks and setting realistic goals, I am better equipped to handle high-
pressure situations.

Additionally, I prioritize effective time management and organization to ensure that I can meet
deadlines and deliver high-quality work under pressure. This includes creating detailed project
plans, setting priorities, and regularly reassessing my progress to stay on track. Seeking support

9. Describe a situation where you had to work with a


difficult coworker?
In a previous role, I encountered a challenging situation where I had to collaborate with a
coworker who had a different working style and communication approach. This individual often
exhibited a confrontational and dismissive attitude towards team members, making it
challenging to work together effectively.
To address this situation, I first made an effort to understand the root causes of the coworker's
behavior and empathize with their perspective. I approached the coworker in a professional and
