Speech is points of the speaker wants to convey to
Very good! the audience.

SPEECH
Speech is the act of producing sounds that are used to
communicate. It involves the complex coordination of
muscles in the mouth, throat, and lungs to create different
sounds. These sounds are then combined to form words,
phrases, and sentences, allowing us to express thoughts,
ideas, and emotions.

THERE ARE PRINCIPLES in DELIVERING SPEECH

1. ARTICULATION

It refers to the precise and clear production of speech sounds,

ensuring that your audience can understand every word you
say.

2. MODULATION

in speech delivery is like adding color and depth to a

painting. It involves skillfully varying your voice to create
interest, emphasize key points, and evoke emotions in your
audience.
3. STAGE PRESENCE

isthe captivating aura you project as a speaker, making your

speech more engaging and memorable. It's not just about
standing on a stage; it's about using your body, voice, and
energy to connect with your audience on a deeper level.

4. FACIAL EXPRESSION

are the silent language of your speech, adding a powerful

layer of communication that goes beyond words. They
convey emotions, emphasize points, and connect with your
audience on a deeper level.

5. BODY POSTURE AND MOVEMENT

a powerful speaker shows confidence through body posture

and movement. Using body to communicate effectively
positively and effectively with the audience.

6.AUDIENCE RAPPORT

is the essential connection you build with your listeners,

making your speech more engaging, impactful, and
memorable. It's about creating a sense of trust,
understanding, and shared experience between you and your
audience.

So, those are the principles of speech.

II. ANALYSIS (“The Why Phase”/ process of inquiry into the activity/systematic examination) (3minutes)

Task 2: Complete Me!

Draw the flower and write the PRINCIPLES of SPEECH
DELIVERY through the mnemonics: ICEPA. Using a
graphic organizer write or explain the importance it. In this
activity I will give you 3 minutes. Your time starts now.

Articulation

Questions:

1. __________refers to the clarity and distinctness

of your speech.

Guide Questions!

 What is the purpose of speech delivery principles?

 Why is it that those principles are important?

The principles of speech are crucial because they
In science there is also principles. form the foundation for effective communication
Science defines principles as a fundamental truth or law that and meaningful interactions.
explains a phenomenon or governs a particular study.

Famous scientist named Isaac Newton have also principles in Students listen carefully.
his Newton’s Law of Motion.

These principles describe the relationship between force,

mass, and acceleration forming the basis of classical
mechanics.
Scenario:

Imagine pushing a 10kg box across a frictionless surface.

You apply a constant force of 20 Newtons.

Newtons second law of Motion: this law states that the

acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net
force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass.

Mathematically

0 F = force in Newtons
0 m=10 kg
0a=F/m=20N/10kg=2m/s2

Interpretation:
This means the box will accelerate at a rate of 2 meters per
second squared in the direction of the applied force.

Remember principles is so important, it is a must.

III. ABSTRACTION (“So What phase”/Theory Inputs/ Summarizes concepts and experiences learned/
inferential leap to life) (30 minutes)

Task 3: This task we will be going to watch a video clip.

Directions:

Remarks:

Reflection:
In completing my lesson plan about informative essays, I have gained valuable insights into the process
of designing and organizing educational content. Overall, creating a lesson plan for an informative essay has
been a good learning experience, and can get a deeper understanding of the different techniques, and I am
motivated to continue refining my skills in lesson planning.
