PRIME PREMIER LEAGUE VII – 2024

The PRIME PREMIER LEAGUE VII - 2024 shall be governed by the Laws of Cricket. All players and
officials taking part in this Cricket event agree to the rules & regulations outlined. Any player or team
in breach of the rules, spirit of cricket or bringing the game into disrepute will be terminated
immediately from the Cricket tournament.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Competition to be in league format.

2. 7 overs per innings. 40 minutes per match. Finals will be of 8 overs.

3. There will be 2 Power plays.


1. Batting powerplay : Can be taken from overs 1 - 3. On field batsman to decide before
the start of the over.
2. Bowling powerplay : Can be taken anytime from overs 5 - 7. Bowling team captain to
decide before start of the over.

4. In batting powerplay only 1 fielder to be placed behind bowling crease. In bowling powerplay
3 fielders needs to be placed behind bowling crease. For remaining overs 2 fielders to be
placed behind bowling crease. No fielder should stand directly behind the umpire.

5. Each team to have strength of 9 players.

6. One player should be compulsory behind batting crease excluding Wicket Keeper. Else it will
be a No Ball.

7. One over per bowler. Throw bowling allowed only for 1 bowler per innings.

8. If a bowler stops bowling because of injury / banned for beamers, overs to be completed from
another player who will be opening the innings

9. 2 players not bowling in the innings to open the batting.

10. Runs for Wide, No ball, Leg Byes, Byes, overthrows. Overthrow to the boundary will be called
as 4 (plus runs scored while running) . All no balls are free hit.

11. A ball is a NO Ball if :


1. Full toss ball above waist height for all bowlers (Faster, Spinner and Medium Pacers).
2. Ball reaches the batsman crease 2 bounces.
3. Bowler does not notifies the umpire of a change in their mode of delivery.
4. Bowler is throwing the ball apart from the allotted 1 over of throw ball.
5. The ball stops in front of the batsman without having touched the bat.
6. If the wicketkeeper collects the ball Infront of stumps.
7. Bowler Breaks the Wicket In Delivery
8. Field restrictions are not followed for fielders. (Refer point 4)
9. If the ball pitches outside the pitch area.

12. Shoulder Height Wide / No Ball Rule

13. Run-out is the only mode of dismissal in Free Hit

14. All standard modes of dismissals apply as per ICC Rules, except LBW.

15. Player cannot get retired hurt while batting unless it’s a genuine injury. Umpires & OC
committee to take decision on it. Runner allowed for injuries after on field Umpires & OC
committee approval.

16. Runners & Substitutes will not be provided for people with pre-existing injury.

17. Umpires decision is final decision.

18. Batsman to be declared NOT OUT if ball hits the ceiling and catch is taken.

19. Responsibility of umpires to make sure that match starts on time.

20. Any on field disputes shall be resolved by OC only. Only captains to speak

21. If a match is tied points will be shared. In Finals only super over to be played until the winner
is decided. MCC laws follow for Super Over.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

Prize ceremony will be held immediately after Finals.

TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE

1. Tournament Committee reserves the right to change the schedule, match overs as
required, any time during the tournament.

2. The committee’s decision is final and binding on its absolute discretion to impose any
penalty by way of warning and/or reprimand and/or suspend the participants in respect
of the tournament.
