We are excited to introduce "Annual Business Convention Cum Carnival" at SDPS International
School as a part of Experiential Learning for the students of Grade Nursery to 12th by
providing exposure to participate in SDPS Business Convention to understand ins and outs of
developing a business idea from scratch, to work as a team, to understand profit and loss and to
hone their Entrepreneurial Skills.
Students have to propose an idea for Business Convention and have to participate in a team
of 6 to 12 Students.
● The amount to be shared by the each member of the team is Rs. 100- Rs. 200.
● Every Team is required to create a Logo for the product and to choose the name and
also can create a tag line for the products. Team members are required to make a
record of their budget, profit and loss.
● This business convention is based on the revenue sharing model. Every team is
supposed to share 10% of revenue of the total income with the school. The school will
be providing the Space, Canopy, Electric Connection, Table and Water supply.
● One team is allowed to keep only one item per stall. Items can be Eatables, Games or
any Saleable Product.
Common Guidelines:
We are pleased to inform that along with the students, some stalls are reserved for
the parents also. For the same, a Google form will be circulated to the parents for
inviting their business ideas along with the information about the 10% revenue
amount applicable for the stalls.
First few ideas will be shortlisted and the detailed information including safety
measures will be shared with the parents.
Use of only electrical appliances such as Induction cooktop, Microwave oven, OTG etc.
is allowed. Usage of Gas, LPG Cylinder is strictly prohibited.
The last date for sharing Business ideas by the students and parents is:
November 13.
The last date for submitting the amount to access carnival amenities for the students
is: November 17.
A Google form will be circulated for the collection of the amount for the students to
access carnival amenities.
The day will be counted as a Bag less day for all the students.
We believe that Annual Business Convention will offer our students a valuable opportunity to
explorenew interests, build important life skills, and enjoy a balanced educational experience.
● Parents’ entry is also allowed in the carnival. A Google form will be circulated to the
parents for making their seat reserved by paying the amount of Rs. 100. The last
date of the submission of the entry fee is Nov. 17, 2024.
A Business Convention cum Carnival is a vibrant setting that offers lots of opportunities for
creative business ideas. Here are some business ideas you could explore for a Business Convention
cum Carnival:
1. Food & Beverage Stalls
Gourmet Coffee or Tea Stall: Offer high-quality, specialty drinks, such as artisan coffee or
exotic teas. You could also consider cold brews, bubble tea, or iced coffee.
Fresh Juice or Smoothie Bar: Serve fresh, healthy juices, smoothies, or acai bowls.
Popcorn Stand: Offer flavored popcorns, such as caramel, cheese, spicy, or even gourmet

Art and Prints: Display your own artwork or prints (photography, paintings, digital art) on a
stall. Offering custom pieces, such as portraits, can attract customers.
Handmade Soaps and Candles: Eco-friendly and natural beauty products are becoming
increasingly popular. You could offer soaps, bath bombs, or artisanal candles.
Pottery & Ceramics: Handmade mugs, vases, or bowls can be quite popular.
3. Health & Wellness
Essential Oils & Natural Products: A stall that sells essential oils, diffusers, and wellness
products, like herbal teas or organic skincare, can attract health-conscious customers.
Fitness Gear: Sell yoga mats, resistance bands, water bottles, or other fitness-related
accessories.
Herbal Remedies & Teas: If you’re knowledgeable about natural healing, you can sell herbal
teas, tinctures, and wellness products for different health needs.
4. Seasonal or Themed Stalls
Holiday or Festival Decorations: Create and sell festive decorations.
Winter Products: Consider selling sweaters, caps, winter accessories.

7. Pop Culture & Hobby Stalls
Custom T-Shirts & Apparel: Print and sell custom-designed T-shirts, hoodies, or hats with

Comics & Collectibles: A stall dedicated to comic books, action figures, or other collectibles
could attract collectors and fans of niche pop culture interests.
Gaming Merchandise: If there’s a large local gaming community, selling gaming accessories,
merch, or unique gaming-related art could be profitable.
8. Services Stalls
Face Painting & Temporary Tattoos: This type of stall is great for festivals, fairs, and
events, and it’s especially popular with kids.
Photo Booths: Set up a stall where people can take fun photos with props and backdrops.
Personalized Gifts: Offer a service where you customize items like T-shirts, mugs, phone
cases, or keychains with people’s names, messages, or photos.
9. Technology & Gadgets
Phone Accessories: Sell phone cases, screen protectors, chargers, and other phone-related
accessories, which are always in demand.
11. Flowers & Plants
Fresh Flowers: Sell freshly cut flowers or small plants. You could also offer unique flower
arrangements for special occasions or even provide plant care advice.
Succulent Garden Kits: Succulents are very popular for their low maintenance and beauty.
You can sell them in small planters or offer DIY succulent garden kits.
12. Interactive & Fun Stalls
DIY Craft Kits: Sell kits where customers can create their own crafts, like knitting kits,
embroidery sets, or model-building kits.
