SOLUTIONS : Global warming is having a major impact on our lives on Earth in a

variety of ways, and each of us should do our part to mitigate it.

1. Planting trees:
Reason: As trees grow, they help stop climate change by removing carbon dioxide
from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the
atmosphere.
2. Cutting down on energy use
Reason: Much of the electricity and heat we use is produced from coal, oil and gas.
Evenwhen turned off, electronic devices still use energy. if possible, installing solar
panels on the roof to generate energy for your
3. Walk, bike, or take public transport:

Reason: Walking or cycling instead of driving reduces greenhouse gas emissions from
the burning of petrol in vehicles. Moreover, you can improve your health and fitness.

4. Throw away less food: use what you buy and compost any leftovers

Reason: When you throw away food, you're also wasting resources and energy that were
used to grow, produce, pack, and transport that food. And as food rots in landfills, it
produces methane, a potent greenhouse gas.

5. Reduce, reuse, recycle: buy less, buy secondhand, repair what you can and recycle.

Reason: this helps to reduce waste and pollution, and conserve natural resources.

6. Speak up: Speak up and call on others to join the action. Talk to your neighbors and
friends. Calling on local and world leaders to act now.

Reason: It's one of the fastest and most effective ways to make a difference.

Causes of global warming:

Deforestation: Cutting down forests for agriculture or pasture, or for other reasons, causes
emissions, because trees, when cut, remove the carbon they have stored. Because forests
absorb carbon dioxide, destroying forests also limits nature's ability to keep emissions out
of the atmosphere.

Use of transport: Most cars, trucks, ships and planes run on fossil fuels. That makes
transportation a major contributor of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide
emissions. Road vehicles make up the largest share, but emissions from ships and planes
continue to rise.

Commodity production: Manufacturing and industrial activities generate emissions,

mainly from burning fossil fuels to generate energy for the purpose of producing
commodities such as cement, iron, steel, electronic equipment, plastics, clothing and
other goods. Emissions are also emitted in mining and other industrial processes.

Effects of GW:

The temperature is hotter: Nearly all regions of the world are seeing more hot days and
more heat waves; 2020 is one of the hottest years on record. Higher temperatures
increase heat-related illnesses and can make it harder for you to work and move around.
Wildfires start more easily and spread faster in hotter conditions.

Increased drought: In many areas water becomes scarce. Droughts can cause devastating
sandstorms and dust storms and move billions of tons of sand across continents. Deserts
are expanding, reducing the amount of land for food. Many people now face the risk of
not having enough water on a regular basis

The ocean is warming and rising day by day: The ocean absorbs most of the heat due to
global warming. This phenomenon melts ice sheets and causes sea levels to rise,
threatening coastal and island communities. The ocean also absorbs CO2, reducing CO2
entering the atmosphere. More CO2 makes the oceans more acidic, which is dangerous
for marine life.
