Title of Micro-Project : - Types of Environmental Pollution

1.0 Rationale (Importance of the project, in about 30 to 50 words. This is a modified
version of the earlier one written after the work)

• Environmental Awareness

Environmental awareness is to understand the fragility of our environment and the

importance of its protection. Promoting environmental awareness is an easy way to become an

environmental steward and participate in creating a brighter future for our children.

• Why is it important to be aware of environmental issues?

Humans have a moral obligation to protect the environment and promote the sustainable

development of the planet for future generations. Environmental degradation is detrimental and

is jeopardising the long-term health and security of animals, plants and humans.

• How can we aware people about environmental pollution?

Here are six ways to raise awareness about environmental issues.

1.Attend a Rally or March. A strike can be an effective way to draw attention.

2. Use Social Media.

3. Contact Elected Officials.

4. Recommend Books and Movies.

5. Be More Accommodating.

6. Write Articles and Create Videos.

7. Use These Tips to Get the Word Out About Climate Change.

• Why is environmental awareness necessary at all stages of education?

Environmental education raises student achievement in core academic areas as students

are more enthusiastic and engaged in learning. Awareness is necessary to take any further step

towards protecting our environment, which is possible only from studying subjects related to

our ecosystems.

Environmental studies helps to understand the meaning of Environmental pollution, different
types of Pollutions, and causes of different types of pollutions on human health and other living
things. It also helps us to understand current environmental problems through the knowledge of
physical, chemical, biological, and social processes. It provides the skills necessary to obtain
solutions to environmental problems.

*******
WATER POLLUTION

Water pollution is the release of substances into bodies of water that makes water unsafe for human
use and disrupts aquatic ecosystems. Water pollution can be caused by a plethora of different
contaminants, including toxic waste, petroleum, and disease-causing microorganisms.

What are the causes of water pollution?

Water is uniquely vulnerable to pollution. Known as a “universal solvent,” water is able to dissolve
more substances than any other liquid on earth. It’s the reason we have Kool-Aid and brilliant blue
waterfalls. It’s also why water is so easily polluted. Toxic substances from farms, towns, and
factories readily dissolve into and mix with it, causing water pollution.

Impact of Water pollution on environment:

• Death of Aquatic animals.
• Destruction of food chain.

Causes of water Pollution:

• Industrial Waste
• Sewage waste water
• Burning of Fossil fuels
• Marine dumping
• Urban Development
Solutions for Water Pollution :
• Reduce Plastic
• Conserve water
• Proper waste disposal
• Use eco-friendly products
• And so many

NOISE POLLUTION
Noise Pollution is unwanted or disturbing sound that can negatively impact human and animal life. It
can be caused by variety of things, including machinery, amplified music, and noisy vehicles.

Impact of Noise Pollution:

• Hearing loss

• Sleep Disruption

• High Blood Pressure

• Lost Productivity

Causes of Noise Pollution:

• Traffic Transportation
• Industrial Activities
• Building construction
• Loud speaker.
Solutions for Noise Pollution:
• Reduce Volume
• Choose quite application
• Support noise reduction initiatives

AIR POLLUTION

Air pollution is contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or
biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere.

Impacts of Air Pollution

• Health effect
• Effect on COPD and Asthma
• Effect on children
• Possible links to cancer
• Climate change
• Global warming

Causes of Air Pollution

• Burning fossil fuels for energy and transportation, industrial emissions, and agriculture
• Wildfires, volcanic activity and digestion of food by animals
Solutions for Air Pollution:

• Reduce energy Consumption

• Use air purifier
• Plant Trees
• Use Electric Vehicles
• Waste Management

SOIL POLLUTION
Soil pollution refers to the contamination of soil with anomalous concentrations of toxic substances.
It is a serious environmental concern since it harbors many health hazards.

Impacts of Soil Pollution:

• Soil Degradation
• Loss of Biodiversity
• Cancer and Tumors
• Respiratory Problems
• Agricultural losses

Causes of Soil Pollution:

• Construction waste
• Domestic waste
• Oil spills
• Vehicles emission
• Volcanic activities

Solutions for Soil Pollution :

• Reduce Chemical use

• Soil Testing
• Proper waste disposal
• Sustainable gardening
