At the end of the course, students are expected to have a clear understanding :
Basic properties of function. Limits and continuity. Derivatives, Rules of differentiation,
derivative as a rate of change, derivative of inverse function and inverse trigonometric
function. Chain rule. Implicit differentiation. L'Hospital's Rule. Application of The Derivative.
The mean value theorem. First derivative test. Curve sketching. Integrals, Fundamental
Theorem, Techniques of integration, Definite integrals. Calculation of plane areas and
volumes.
2. Briefly describe any plans for developing and improving the course that is being implemented. (e.g. increased use
of IT or web based reference material, changes in content as a result of new research in the field)
Lectures and examples classes, a case study to teach students how to analyze information and reach a decision.

E: Attendance, Class Participation and Teamwork Activities
Students are expected to attend all the classes. Any absence in any class may affect their progress in the course. In case of
absences, an excuse must be reported to the academic affairs within a week, and an approval will be required from the
academic affairs.
Students must be active during the class lectures and participate in discussion. Students may discuss the assignments together
with no cheating.
Important notes
Each absence (including excused absence) will cost the student 0.5 reduction in his participation marks.
Two classes late will cost the student 0.5 reduction in his participation marks.
If the students absence exceeds 25% of total classes, he will be denied.
All students involved in cheating in HW, quizzes, and exams will be given zero
