GENERAL RULES
Participants are allowed to take part in more than one competition.
Registration to be done as a College through the Cultural coordinator/ Student Council
Representative of the respective colleges.
Only pre-registered participants are allowed to participate. Non-participants will not be
allowed inside the campus.
ID cards are mandatory for entry into college and are required to be worn throughout the
event. In case an ID card is unavailable, students are required to bring a Bonafide
certificate signed by the Vice Principal/Principal. Participants will not be permitted to
enter the college in the absence of the necessary documents.
Colleges must provide a point of contact (Cultural Coordinator/Student Chairman etc)
who will also represent the teams/participants in case of doubts and clarifications. The
point of contact should be one among the participants.
Participants must strictly adhere to the formal dress code befitting of an Educational
Institution:
i. Dress code for boys: Shirts, Full Pants/Jeans are allowed. Shorts, sleeveless, casual t-
shirts, ripped jeans & transparent clothing are not allowed
ii. Dress code for girls: Salwar, Kurtis, knee length tops, Full pants, Jeans are allowed.
Skin colour bodysuits, sleeveless, crop tops, three-fourth pants/ tights/ short skirts, are not
allowed.
Props if necessary must be kept ready during the relevant competitions by the
participants.
No props will be provided by the college.
Participants must be present at the allocated venue 30 minutes before the commencement
of the event.
A team/participant that fails to perform during their allotted time slot will not be given a
second chance.
Participants must strictly adhere to the time limit of the events.
Vulgarity, Dress code violation, and/or obscenity of any sort will lead to immediate
disqualification.
Violation of any of the above rules may lead to disqualification.
The Judges decision will be final and binding.
2-wheeler and 4-wheeler parking is not available at the venue
REGISTRATION RULES

College can only register as an Institution and not Shift-


wise.
Department-wise registration is not allowed.
To register for events, the student council of the college
should:
1. Fill in the overall registration form using the provided link.
Kindly mention - Name of the Institution, Name of the
Cultural Coordinator/Point of Contact, Names of Registered
Events.
2. Register for each event using the respective event forms
attached in the rulebook.
No on-spot registration.
Changes in participants/team members will not be
entertained. If a registered participant/team is unable to
participate, their slot will be deemed as void.
One participant can be a part of more than one event. In
case of multiple participations, participants/teams have to
ensure that the timings of the events do not overlap.
Performance slots will be provided on a first-come, first-
serve basis.
The last date of registration is 11th December, 2024.

POINTS CHART

This indicates the points that you will earn on winning an


event.

➢First place- 30 points


➢ Second place- 20 points
➢ Third place- 10 Points

No points will be awarded for special mentions made by


the judges.
In case of a joint win or a tie, the marks will not be
divided between the two teams. Both teams will be marked
on the original score in correspondence with the place.
Prizes (if won) will be awarded under the registered
college name only.

Jhankar Runners-up Trophy:
The team with the second highest points.

Note: In case of a tie or a joint win, the determining


criteria for winners will be the maximum number of
events participated. Both group & individual events
will be taken into consideration for the above
mentioned awards.

CHANNEL SURFING

Participants are expected to enact the content of the channel


given by the judges within the assigned time limit.
Participants will be evaluated based on their spontaneity,
humor and any other criteria set by the judges.
Any form of vulgarity shall result in immediate
disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

SHERLOCKOLOGY

Off-Stage Individual Event Time: 09:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m

Round 1
·Teams will get a briefing case file (the case file will be sent in
an encrypted format)
The teams will have to identify the following in 15 minutes:
1. Minimum of 10 suspects.
2. Rough map of the crime scene.
The teams should submit a written statement of their findings.
The top 8 teams with the most accurate answers will move to
the next round.
Round 2
·The teams will identify the criminal and the motive with the
crime scene map generated in round 1 within 15 minutes.
The decisions of the judges will be final and binding.

JEOPARDY

On-Stage Individual Event Time: 09:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m

1 Participant per College Theme: N/A Duration : N/A

Total number of rounds: 2


Round 1:
In the first round, a Tile Board with multiple categories will be displayed for the
participants to choose from.
The Participant shall select a tile board in which answers will be given. Participants
must identify the relevant question for the displayed answer within 5 seconds.
Correct answers will lead to gaining control of the board to pick the next question.
Incorrect answers will lead to a deduction in points, and other participants may buzz
to answer.
The round shall continue until all the questions on board have been played.
Participants with the top 10 scores will qualify to the next round.
Round 2 (Final Jeopardy):
The category shall be first revealed and participants who have not received negative
scores will wager (from zero to their entire score) based on confidence.
Once the question is read, participants shall have one minute to write their answer.
Participants with correct answers win the wager.
Final jeopardy scores are calculated and the participant with the highest score wins
the game. The next two highest scores will be given second and third place
respectively.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

POTPOURRI

On-Stage Team Event Time: 09:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m

3 Participants per team; 1


Theme: N/A Duration: N/A
Team per College

Each round will be an eliminator round.


Round 1 : Dumbcharades
One participant among the team will be allotted a movie name/brand name and
tagline, and the other two participants have to guess the word/phrase within the
given time.
Teams qualifying in this round (as per the judges’ discretion) will move to the
second round.
Round 2 : Connections
The teams will have to guess the song/ phrase from the pictures displayed.
The teams with the top 5 scores will be qualified for the next round.
Final Round : Spin a Yarn
Each team will be given a topic on spot.
The participants will take turns to deliver a line at a time which leads to a story
relevant to the theme.
The team with the highest overall score wins the game. The next two highest
overall scores will be given second and third place respectively.
Any vulgarity will lead to immediate disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding

JAM

On-Stage Individual Event Time: 09:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m

1 participant per College Theme: N/A Duration: N/A

The topic will be provided on the spot.


Standard JAM Rules will apply. Participants must speak on
the assigned topic for exactly 1 minute without hesitation,
repetition, or deviation from the topic.
Points will be deducted for exceeding the time or for pausing
excessively.
Each participant will have a minute to prepare their
argument.
The speech must be original and relevant to the given topic.
Participants must use appropriate and respectful language.
Vulgarity of any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

SCRIPT WRITING

Off-Stage Individual Event Time: 09:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m

Theme: Mystery and


1 participant per College Duration: 60 minutes
Thriller

The participant will be given 60 minutes to prepare a script


based on the theme, following which there will be a
presentation of the script.
Prompts will be given every 10 minutes and the script has to
evolve as per the given prompts.
The Participant has to bring the required materials. The script
has to be handwritten.
Any vulgar or inappropriate content will result in immediate
disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

FUSION DANCE

On-Stage Team Event Time: 12:00 p.m.-02:30 p.m.

6-8 participants per Team


Duration: 5 minutes (1 minute
(including prop manager, helpers, Theme: N/A
set up + 4 minutes performance)
etc. if any); 1 Team per College

Participants will be required to perform a fusion of dance,


involving at least one classical/folk/ethnic Indian dance.
Profanity in song lyrics and any form of vulgarity will lead to
immediate disqualification.
Participants must strictly adhere to the dress code.
Audio file should be submitted in MP3 format through mail
to jhankar25ic@gmail.com on or before 6:00 PM, 14th
December 2024.
Changes in audio file beyond 14th December 2024 will not be
entertained.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

COSPLAY

On-Stage Team Event Time: 12:00 p.m.-02:30 p.m.

3 participants per Team; 1 Duration: 5 minutes (4 minutes


Theme: Legendary Trios
Team per College performance + 1 minute set up)

Participants must choose a character from any movie or book


and perform a short scripted scene based on the mentioned
theme.
Participants are requested to strictly adhere to the dress code.
Violation of the rule will lead to immediate disqualification.
Vulgarity/Profanity of any form will lead to immediate
disqualification.
Props are allowed, however prop managers are not allowed.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

WORDPLAY TRIATHLON

Off - Stage Team Event Time: 12:00 p.m.-02:30 p.m.

2 participants per Team; 1


Theme: N/A Duration: N/A
Team per College

·Number of Rounds- 3
Round 1: Crossword
Participants will be given a crossword to solve based on the given hints.
The first 10 teams to correctly solve the crossword will qualify to the next
round.
Round 2: Connections
Participants will have to categorize words according to a common characteristic
shared by them.
The participants will be competing against each other to connect the words first,
and must buzz to answer.
The participants will gain 10 points for a correct connection, but lose 5 points
for every incorrect guess.
The 5 teams with the highest scores will qualify to the final round.
Round 3: Wordle
Wordle questions will be displayed on screen and the participants must buzz to
guess the correct word.
The team that figures out the most wordles wins the event. Second and third
place go to the teams with the next two highest scores.

ADZAP

On-Stage Team Event Time: 12:00 p.m.-02:30 p.m.

5 participants per Team; 1 Team


Theme: N/A Duration: 4 minutes
per College

Each team will be given a product on spot followed by 2


minutes of preparation time.
The team will have to advertise the product in a humorous
way within the given allotted time of 4 minutes.
Vulgarity of any form will lead to immediate
disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

PAINT JAM

Off - Stage Team Event Time: 12:00 p.m.-02:30 p.m.

2 participants per Team; 1


Theme: N/A Duration: N/A
Team per College

The event consists of two rounds.


The event assesses the creative and artistic skills of the participants through
their painting/ artwork.
Participants are requested to bring their own necessary stationery material of
any medium (Digital art is not allowed).
Plagiarism and vulgarity of any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
Round 1
This round is a painting relay.
The team has to create a painting/ drawing related to the given topic and they
will have to switch their positions every 10 minutes. The total duration provided
to the participants is 40 minutes.
The top 8 teams will qualify to the next round.
Round 2
A tutorial will be shown to one participant.
The participant must explain the tutorial to the other participant.
The second participant will draw solely based on the instructions provided.
The best 3 replications will be awarded prizes.

SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST

On-Stage Individual Event Time: 12:00 p.m.-02:30 p.m.

1 Participant per College Theme: N/A Duration: N/A

The event consists of two rounds.


Round 1 - Block and Tackle
The participants will be given various topics on the spot. They have to alternate
between speaking for the topic (block) and against the topic (tackle).
2 minutes preparation times and 2 minutes speaking time will be provided.
Use of phones/internet is not allowed during the preparation time.
Top 10 participants will qualify to the next round.
Round 2 - Shipwreck
2 participants will go against each other. They will be given a certain personality
and they have to defend themselves and show why they deserve to win the last
remaining life jacket on a wrecked ship over the other person. The judge will act
as the captain and question the participants.
30 seconds preparation time. 3 minutes speaking time (1.5 minutes for each
participant).
Vulgarity of any form will lead to immediate disqualification.
Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
