EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN A S I N G L E P O I N T CONTROLLER:

Each 91 O Controller supports one individual heat trace circuit. Terminals are

included for low-level signals such as RTDs, alarming and communications, as

well as for power wiring.

C H O I C E OF OUTPUT DEVICES:

The 91 O Series HTC is available in two output types:

electro-mechanical relay (EMR) output for use in ordinary (non-hazardous)

areas, and

solid-state relay ( S S R ) output for use in either ordinary or Class 1, Div. 2 /

Zone

2 hazardous locations.

Ratings of 30A, 1 2 0 to 277Vac are standard for both types.

UNIVERSAL DESIGN:

The Controller incorporales a universal power supply (100-277Vac), 50/60Hz

support, voltage, currsnt, and ground fault sensing. No other components are

required.

INTEGRAL C O N S O L E :

Large, easy to read alpha-numeric characters and menu-driven interface eases

configuration and eliminates the need for an externa! programmer. AII monitored

parameters, programmed values and alarming information are available to the

u ser.

OPTIONAL C O M M U N I C A T I O N S :

Communications modules are available for remote monitoring and configuration.

A modem version maintaining compatibility with all existing Pyrotenax heat trace

controls and upstream devices (GCCs, H H P s , and PyroMaster™ software) may

be chosen, or other industry-standard interfaces such as RS-485 and RS-232

may be specified.

VERSATILE MONITORING ANO A L A R M I N G :

The Controller monitors and alarms on high or low temperature, voltage, resist

ance, or load curren! at user defined levels. Two separate temperature inputs are

standard, and both are monitored for open or shorted sensors. The 9 1 O Series

Controller also monitors ground fault currents and is suitable for meeting the lat

es! NEC, CEC, and I E E E equipment protection requirements. The user may pro

gram separate ground fault alarm and trip levels.

RESISTANCE MONITORING:

This feature provides enhanced functionality over the standard low curren! alarm

ing when using tracing with constan! resistance. The Controller calculates trace

resistance in real-time, m i n i m i z i n g nuisance low curren! alarms when the line

voltage fluctuates. This makes for more reliable detection of heating zone loss for

constan! wattage heating cables.

AUTO-CYCLE™:

The controller will momentarily energize the circuí! at a user defined interval.

Circuit alarms will be generated at the time of auto-cycle, rather than only when

heat is required. This feature essentially eliminates the requirement for preventa

tive maintenance checks.

DigiTrace™ REMOTE ENABLE/DISABLE:

I n applications where the designer wishes to disable individual or grouped

Controllers directly, a remote contact can force the unit(s) into an idle state,

where temperature control is disabled, but trace monitoring and alarming func
Proven performance
tions remain active.
