skills Have three groups to demonstrate the following:
#1(EXPLORE) 1. Show the correct direction on how the earth rotates on its axis.
2. Show how the earth revolves around the sun
3. Differentiate between the rotation of earth on its axis and the
revolution of it around the sun.
Each group will answer the following.
Activity Questions:

1. What happens when the earth rotates?

2. What happens when the earth revolves around the sun?
3. Why do we have day and night?
4. Why do we have seasons
5. What might happen if the earth does not rotate?
6. What effect might it bring to the earth itself, the people and
other living organisms on it, to the temperature, etc.?

#2(EXPLORE)

Show the DIY Model and explain the difference of Earth’s rotation from
Earth’s revolution. The teacher will manipulate the model.

*Place the model in the center of the room.

*Demonstrate how the earth’s rotate and revolve around the sun.

F. Developing
mastery
Objective: To understand the Earth's rotation and its periodic spinning
(Leads to motion.
Formative
Assessment 3)
(EXPLAIN) Instructions: The teacher will call three volunteers to demonstrate the
activity.
Materials Needed:

1. A round object like a ball (to represent Earth)

2. A flashlight (to represent the Sun)
3. Small stickers or markers to represent locations

STEPS:

Prepare the Model:

 Place a ball on a flat surface.

 Mark a few spots with stickers to represent locations.

Shine the Flashlight:

 Hold a flashlight steady, pointing it at the ball.

Rotate the Ball:

 Slowly spin the ball counterclockwise.

Observe the Stickers:

 Notice how the stickers move in and out of the flashlight's beam.

Discuss Rotation:

 Talk about how the ball takes about 24 hours for one full spin.

Guide Questions:

1. How does the rotation affect places on the ball?

2. Why does the rotation stay the same every time?
3. Why is the axis important for spinning?

G. Finding Let the learners observe the improvise illustration of day and night.
