CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 About NGO
An NGO, Non-Government Organization, is a crucial entity within the realm of social and
humanitarian work. Operating independently of government influence, NGOs are driven by a
shared commitment to address various societal challenges and make a positive impact on
communities. These organizations span a diverse range of sectors, including education
healthcare, environmental conversation, human rights, and more. NGOs often fill gaps that
government institutions might not cover adequately, focusing on specific issues or marginalized
groups.
The strength of NGOs lies in their ability to mobilize resources, both human and financial, to
drive initiatives that promote social welfare and sustainable development. Through advocacy,
research and direct intervention NGOs champion causes that align with their mission, aiming to
raise awareness, effect policy change, and provide on-ground assistance where needed. Their
work is often characterized by a deep-rooted dedication to fostering positive change,
empowering individuals, and uplifting communities.
NGOs also play a significant role in facilitating international cooperation and fostering cross-
border solidarity. By collaborating with other NGOs, government, and international bodies they
contribute with other NGOs serve as vital force for progress, working towards a more just,
equitable and compassionate world.
1.2 Process for NGO formation
The process of forming a Non-Governmental Organization(NGO) involves several crucial steps
that pave the way for its establishment and effective operation. First and foremost, a clear and
well-defined mission and vision statement need to be crafted, outlining the organization’s
purpose, goals and the societal issues it aims to address. This foundational step serves as the
guiding principle for the NGO’s activities.
Next, a group of life-minded individuals or founders must come together and form a governing
body. This body typically comprises a board of directors or trustees responsible for making
important decisions, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory
requirements. The selection of committed individuals with diverse skills and expertise is vital to
the organization’s success.
Once the governing body is established, the legal framework of the NGO must be decided upon.
This includes choosing the must appropriates legal structure, such as a trust, society, or a non-
profit company, based on the organization’s objectives and the country’s regulations. The chosen
legal structure will determine the NGO’s tax status, financial reporting requirements, and
liability.

1
Following this, the process of registration with the relevant government authorities comes into
play. Detailed documentation, including the NGO’s constitution, bylaws, and financial
statements,
is prepared and submitted for official approval. This step ensures the NGO’s legal recognition
and eligibility to operate within the jurisdiction.
In conclusion, the process of forming an NGO involves defining a clear purpose, assembling a
dedicated governing body, choosing an appropriate legal structure, obtaining official registration,
devising effective fundraising strategies, and establishing a robust presence within the
community. Each step is integral to creating a sustainable and impactful organization that can
make a meaningful difference in addressing societal challenges.

CHAPTER 4

WORKING-RANGE OF ACTIVITES

Week 1
I went to the NGO in first week and got to know about the work and I understood
the main key points for which the NGO works and what do we have to do. We
went to huts of poor and needy persons and gave them food and clothes to help
them. Then I realized how good it feels to help needy once.
Helping poor and needy people is a noble and compassionate Act that can have a
significant impact on their lives and the community as a whole we see it every day,
in our communities, in our cities and in our world but I believe we have the power
to make a difference. Helping the poor and needy is not just a moral obligation, it’s
a human one we all deserve dignity, respect, and a chance to thrive by lending a
hand we can change lives.
Week 2
In second week, I went and tried to spread awareness about the disadvantage of
plastic which are very hazardous for our environment as they are non-
biodegradable waste which directly caused harm in our environment, we went to
local shops and convinced them to use bags made up of clothes or paper not to use
plastic bags and motivate all the shops near them.
In the same week I have done animal feeding where I feed some dogs nearby areas
of my villages and distributed foods to people near hospitals and street.
Week 3
In the third week they give me a target, try to help children learn English alphabets,
and also try to learn the spelling of their name in English and Hindi both language.
I also feed the cows and took care of them.
Again I meet with those children and with new task, this time it’s bit typical
because they don’t know how to write even their names, but I try my best and my
guide also help them. I am trying to help them to learn English alphabets and
spelling of their name, and also giving a knowledge about good habits and bad
habits, and also about traffic rules.

7
This task is not easy but these children are very supportive, I am really
appreciating their passion or attitude against education. Everyone has the right to
education, education shall be free at least in the elementary and fundamental stage.
Elementary education shall be compulsory, it shall promote understanding,
tolerance and friendship among all nation
Week 4
In the fourth week, we gave food and clothes to poor children, we also helped an
uncle who is suffering from disease through medicine and through food which
recommended by doctors. We are planting trees to save our environment.
Our NGO also done many activities like, save our future through planting trees,
providing medical facilities for poor once, taking care and helping cow because
today’s time street cows are eating so many plastics through which they may suffer
or dead, and also helping poor once through giving them clothes and food to make
the living standard good.
This last week of internship are very special because we are doing lot of activities
through these activities we learn more and more like how to handle children, how
to take care of cows, how to aware people for helmet and for not to use plastics.
