Learning Objectives: 3, 5-9

Complete a Recruitment Plan for a position of your choice. Your submission should
include a brief company description and market assessment (what industry, challenges
of this industry).

The following points should be covered:

1. Outline the compensation and benefits for the role.

2. Where will you advertise and/or post the job to attract internal, and external
candidates – Outline if, or how, your recruitment methods/strategies would be
different based on the industry.

3. What recruitment method/strategies would you use to recruit for this role? Explain
why you are recommending these methods/strategies and cite the advantages and
disadvantages of your selected methods/strategies.

4. Create a timeline (outlining steps of each process, and time allotted to complete)
that begins from creating a job description to the job posting, and the recruitment of
the new hire. The timeline should include an end-to-end process.

5. What type of employment testing would you use for this position to assess the
KSAO’s?

6. Discuss why it is better to base a selection system on science rather than a ‘gut
feeling’ and how your process supports this approach?

7. Include a copy of the job posting.

Your submission should be approximately 2-3 pages (single-spaced; Calibri 11 font),


not including copies of the two job ads.

Also include footnotes for any resource material used.
