overshoot and settling time if subjected to unit step input. Also calculate the expression for its
output response.

15. For a control system shown below, determine the values of 𝐾 and 𝑘, so that maximum
overshoot for unit step input is 𝑀𝑝 = 25% and peak time is 𝑇𝑝 = 4 seconds.

16. A system has 30% overshoot and settling time of 5 seconds for a unit step input. Determine:
a. The transfer function
b. Peak time (𝑇𝑝 )
c. Output response (Assume 𝑒𝑠𝑠 as 2%)

17. Explain effects of proportional derivative and proportional integral controllers in system
performance.
18. Compare P, PI and PID controllers.
19. Explain BIBO stability? What is the necessary condition for stability?
20. Write the various construction rules to develop the root locus.
