Students are required to know some basic mathematical shortcuts for calculations. 4. Understand the major capabilities and limitations of deterministic operations research modeling as applied to problems in industry or government. Develop the skills to consider real-world problems and determine whether or not linear programming is an appropriate modeling framework. Improve the ability to simplify complicated situation using mathematical models.
