Shaped, developed, and met the goals of GFCs strategic online plan, which created a vibrant online community through intensifying social media efforts and incorporating multimedia web elements. Managed and implemented the redesign and relaunch of GFCs website and online bookstore, resulting in an increase in the number of unique visitors from 12K hits per month (2009) to 20K per month (2012), as tracked by Google Analytics. Produced digital media content for GFC, including the full production and design of e-blasts, videos, short films and documentaries, and Flash slideshows. Content was produced under tight time constraints and required quick synthesis of numerous, sometimes competing, requirements. Managed all aspects of multimedia development for GFC, including video and audio editing, format conversions, and captioning. Created over 50 short films and documentaries for various social media platforms, the website, events, and presentations to funders and other stakeholders. Created a promotional short film that was included on the DVD for the film Journey of a Red Fridge. Developed the action plan for GFCs social media efforts and expanded and maintained GFCs presence in new media and social networking sites, including Vimeo, Flickr, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter; oversaw the growth of GFCs Facebook presence from 2K followers (2010) to greater than 9K (2012). Created online staff tutorials related to the update of GFCs website and utilization of GFCs e-newsletter service; through the tutorials, succeeded in both educating staff and demonstrating how digital media can help facilitate brand recognition and increase funding. Supervised and consulted on the creation of a website showcasing media created by youth served by GFCs grassroots partners participating in the Adobe Youth Voices (AYV) program; through the website, increased the visibility of young peoples films, photos, slideshows, and other media productions. Developed, presented, and moderated webinars related to program goals, expectations, software programs, and rough-cut review processes for GFCs network of global partners in the AYV program; through the webinars, increased the level and quality of communication with grantee partners about the expectations, processes, and benefits of the AYV program. Trained 10 teachers, 20 coaches, and 50 students on the use of DigitalSports DCs content management system. Program and Project Management Managed over 30 sites and nearly 100 educators globally (Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean) for the Adobe Youth Voices and Nike Foundations Grassroots Girls Initiative programs. Established program scope, coordinated GFC grantee partners participation schedules, administered an annual program budget of over $2 million, acted as technical adviser and lead for the partners, and submitted status reports to the funding institutions. Travel was required to many of the partners to provide hands-on guidance and program tracking. Managed and coordinated GFCs video-storytelling initiative, which sought to address the digital divide by providing girls with training in video production, by building the media capacity of GFC grantee partners in Nigeria and India, and through the print and web development of two toolkits to guide community-based organizations in developing programs that teach girls how to harness the power of digital media. Owned major website platform upgrades from HTML (2009) to Joomla (2010) to WordPress (2012) content management systems. Responsibilities included determining requirements, selecting and managing budgets and contracts for developers, submitting status reports to internal GFC stakeholders, and overseeing project timelines to completion. Managed change requests, updates, and IT issues related to the development and maintenance of GFCs website. Educated over 50 patients in India on bone marrow disease support services for the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF), resulting in greater awareness about treatment and support options.

Managed all digital media efforts at GFC. Created video blogs, and managed the communications calendar during GFC workshops for grantee partners in India and South Africa. Wrote over 40 blog posts for the GFC site as part of documenting digital projects and communicating GFCs work; posts generated greater visibility for GFCs cutting-edge digital media work and built GFCs online community. Created, edited, and integrated up-to-date content for the DigitalSports DC web portal, highlighting accomplishments of over 450 DC public high school student-athletes. Used photography, video technology, and journalism to create content for the DigitalSports DC website. Built relationships and collaborated with 15 athletic directors, 40 coaches, and 10 community organizations in DC public high schools, resulting in increased web content contributions and greater public awareness of DigitalSports DC and DC high school athletics. Published several articles on DC public high school athletics in The Washington Informer. Launched the AA&MDSIF communications and support network for patients in India seeking improved treatment and health care options for bone marrow disease. Originated the layout and design for the 30-page AA&MDSIF Annual Patient Conferences Global Program Guide. Marketing Designed e-newsletters/e-blasts, illustrations, and website slideshows as part of GFCs marketing endeavors. Conducted SEO campaigns, including keyword research and link building, to maximize GFCs website rankings in search engines, resulting in targeted GFC webpages appearing higher in search engine listings. Created and implemented a blog promotion strategy to drive more traffic to GFCs blog site, resulting in more comments on blogs and more blog hits by unique visitors. Designed and disseminated marketing material for DigitalSports DC, resulting in greater awareness of the program. Spearheaded a womens basketball charity fundraising campaign, resulting in a $5,000 contribution to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Managed monthly advertising campaigns for AA&MDSIF, including ad design and placement schedule.
