    SCHOOL VISIT TO SMP NEGERI 1 MEDAN

    INTRODUCTION
    Classroom management can be explained as action and direction that teacher know, to create a success full
    learning style indeed the teacher must know what learning style the student have.

    There are three kinds of learning styles, they are :


    Visual Learners learn by sight
    Auditory Learners learn by hearing
    Tactile Learners (kinesthetic) learn by touch

    This school visit aims to get the information about the classroom management in a school related
    to the learning styles.
    METHOD
    1. Technique of collecting the data
    The technique of collecting the data is by interviewing one of English teacher in SMP Negeri 1 Medan, the teacher name
    is Susi Andolita.
    2. Procedure
    - The first we decided which school to visit, we choose SMP N 1 MEDAN.
    - Then, we formulate the question for interview
    The questions are:
    1. Do you think that the classroom physical condition created comfortable teaching learning process?
    2. How is the chair position setting in the classroom? Does it suitable with students learning style?
    3. Is the teaching media in the classroom help to teach to the three kind of learning styles (auditory, visual, kinesthetic)?
    If yes please give a brief elaboration.
    - Lastly, On Friday 19th October 2018 we visited the school and one of our member recorded the audio of the interview
    with one of the English teacher.
    Question 1
    RESULT
    Do you think that the classroom physical condition created comfortable teaching learning process?
    Answer: Yes, of course.
    Question 2
    How is the chair position setting in the classroom? Does it suitable with students learning style?
    Answer: yes, we arrange these chair in our class based on the good condition and the students like the chair position, it
    makes them study comfortably.
    Question 3
    Is the teaching media in the classroom help to teach the three kind of learning styles (auditory, visual, kinesthetic)?
    If yes please give a brief elaboration.
    Answer: Yes, we have in focus and computers (for visual learners), speakers (auditory), and sometimes we study outside
    classroom (kinesthetic).
    CONCLUSION
    From the interview we had done, we can conclude that the classroom management at SMP N 1 Medan is arranged
    well so the students can learn well.
    a. The physical conditions of the classroom created to be a comfortable classroom.
    b. The media used at that Junior High School increase the students’ interest, for example in focus (visual), computer
    speaker (auditory) ,etc.

    Sometimes the teacher ask the students to study outdoor which can supports the kinesthetics learners. And the other
    strategy they used is to ask a native speaker from another country, for example ,the native speaker from Australia.
