Presented by: Almira Fawnia 1806277785 Desi Dwi Rahayu 1806277892 Fauzan Azhiman 1806249200 Hanandi Rahmad Syahputra 1806277980 Laksamana Bimo Budiman 1806278094 Mia Rafida Trinursari 1806278150 SYNOPSIS • Martha Rinaldi is a young, recent MBA graduate striving to develop a successful career for herself. • Martha worked as an assistant to the Director of Promotions at Deep Dive, a regional restaurant chain in the Chicago and surrounding areas • The work that Martha did for Deep Dive was noticed with appreciation, which led to a full job offer with the company once she graduated • Martha also received an offer from Potomac Waters, a strong national organization serving the healthy beverage industry. • She was confused whether to work at DeepDive or at Potomac • She chose Potomac as she thought it would be a better experience • She became the Assistant Product Manager at Potomac waters • When Martha joined the company, she was excited about the challenging environment but things did not turn out well. She was not guided either by her boss or her peers SYNOPSIS • She had received a negative performance evaluation for her first four months • She had criticized by Follet in lack of initiatives and assertiveness, and also usually being quiet in the meeting • She had shouting match with her boss (Vaughn) • Her boss (Follet) not going to make Rinaldi’s training a priority DISCUSSION • Should she ask to Bautista if she could be move to work for another brand? Answer: We think as long as she act careless with her own emotion, she should not ask to move to another brand. She should learn how to dealing with conflict in her job with follet and vaughn to get better understanding of conflict management • Might she herself be branded as difficult employee if she made that request? Answer: Yes, it will come directly from others perspective that she can’t handle the pressure from her boss and also could damaging her position in Potomac • Should she comeback to DeepDive? Answer: We think that Rinaldi should move to DeepDive as her boss not making her training as a priority. Beside she could learn new responsibilities and get higher wage, her friend also said that she still got a good reputation there.
